Absolutely loved our stay in Matsumoto. At first glance, the hotel looked a little classic and old-fashioned, but everything was incredibly well maintained and thoughtfully cared for. The cleanliness and attention to detail really stood out. The staff were exceptionally kind, warm, and super helpful throughout our stay. Their English communication was excellent, which made everything very comfortable and easy for international guests. Our room was cozy and relaxing, with a beautiful view of the city and the Japanese Alps in the distance. Waking up to that scenery was truly memorable. The bathroom was spotless, and the amenities were complete and well prepared. Breakfast was another highlight — very varied, delicious, and especially thoughtful for guests with dietary restrictions or food preferences. The information provided for each dish was clear and helpful. Overall, this hotel gave us a very authentic, calm, and comforting Matsumoto experience. We would happily stay here again.

The location is suitable for finding peace. I stayed here after returning from Shirakawago. The breakfast was delicious and there were Indonesian waiters at the restaurant where we had breakfast 😇
