Staff fantastic. Location convenient. Definitely value for money. Decor is funny because rooms are massive so it feels like they’re hard to fill. Shower wasn’t very cold, is only a negative because of the outrageous heat at the minute. Assume AC was broke because we got given fans

Beautiful building gorgeous room

The room (22) was generous in size but there were a couple of issues . The TV remote didn’t work and needed new batteries, the safe had been left locked by the previous occupants and the bath panels were in need of a coat of paint. Having stayed at this hotel previously I was looking forward to a really good breakfast ( based on previous experience )however I was quite disappointed. No muesli on the menu , the tea was “brewed” in an urn and no eggs be it boiled , fried or poached …….only scrambled. The check in staff were very accommodating , friendly and quick to rectify any issues that they were capable of dealing with . I felt let down as based on previous experience I had recommended this hotel to a number of family members and we had booked 6 rooms altogether. Definitely not the worst hotel I’ve stayed in and the hotel has character and history of its own but a few areas need attention.

Great location, less than 5 minute walk from the Bay. Nice and spacious room, the jacuzzi bath was a bonus. Will definitely stay again.

Old, kind of beat up and neglected and very quirky. The bed was comfortable and staff was nice.

We recently stayed here and I booked the Presidental Suite for one night The suite was very spacious and clean. The Decor was amazing. The staff were friendly and very approachable and always happy to help. We went down to breakfast between 8-8.30 and the restaurant was practically empty which is great. The breakfast was nice with not a vast selection but more than enough. We did miss fried eggs, though. The only downfall was the parking as this hotel doesn't have any. But it does offer a discounted stay at Q-Park which is situated behind the Premier Inn and around a 5-10 minute work. (Depending on the person) Overall - it is an amazing place to stay with lots of history and character. I would definitely return.

Room was absolutely spotless and amazing hotel, but only problem I had on arrival in to room, their was tobacco scattered around the desk area from previous people. . Didn't bother me too much tbh, other than that me and my husband had a lovely night stay. Staff were Friendly, Definitely booking again soon .

Just like to say the hotel was something like out of a old film set really query I loved it

The staff at the hotel were really friendly and very helpful with offering to store our small amount of luggage for the hours before and after our overnight stay - thank you. The breakfast was good and again here the staff were really helpful. Room was spacious and clean and air conditioning worked well. Worth the extra few steps from the Wales Millenium Centre to stay in this historic building.

Beautiful cosy hotel with lots of character and charm, close to everything you need.

Dust everywhere, bathtub was disgusting and as we put bubbles on the smell was horrific,breakfast was cold and bay marine’s were empty and when I asked a member of staff they were so rude, the only staff member that was helpful was the gentleman on reception at the time , will never stay again
