The room is clean, the AC is cold and a nice size, and the Wi-Fi is great only where you stay. The pool is very big. The kid pool is nice, and the ocean is great not a lot of seaweed some days. You can snorkel to see sea turtles and fish. Free catamaran. The show was awesome with Disney Fantasia. The food is great, the restaurant is nice, and the front desk needs more staff because it takes a long time to check in. If you're ok with 1:10hr. Travel time from Cancun International Airport, so this hotel is a good fit for you at the price. 9/10 stars for US.

Overall had a good experience staying here but my room was so far from the restaurants and was a great deal of walking. It was hard to get a drink at the swim up bar but they do an incredible job at cleaning up and keeping things in order. Very friendly and helpful staff. I did not like that there was not more fans or AC in areas of the hotel. It made it almost unbearable at times. I also think that there should be more maps around the hotel to help you navigate it and I found some shortcuts that I wish I would’ve known sooner. I think they should have more communication and signs to point you in the right direction of where you need to go.

Great food, excellent amenities, and an exceptionally clean resort. Every inch of the property is impeccably maintained, making for a very enjoyable stay. My only complaint is the transportation between the resorts. Getting to and from the other properties from the Palace is extremely difficult and not very convenient. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend it.

Here's a balanced review you could post: Overall, my stay was disappointing. While the rooms were very clean and well maintained, that was unfortunately the only highlight of the experience. The buffet food lacked quality and variety, making it one of the weaker dining experiences I've had at a resort. We also wanted to try one of the specialty restaurants, but reservations were nearly impossible to get unless they were made weeks in advance. This should be communicated more clearly before guests arrive. The property is very large, but there are little to no signs to help you find your way around. The map provided by the staff wasn't very helpful either, so we spent a lot of time trying to figure out where everything was. The beach was another disappointment. It's very rocky, and much of the sand appears to be placed over concrete, making it far from the beautiful beach experience we expected. Overall, I would not choose to stay here again. The cleanliness of the rooms was excellent, but the poor dining, lack of restaurant availability, confusing layout, and disappointing beach did not justify the cost of the stay.

The property was beautiful and well maintained. Our rooms were clean. While the beach/sand isn’t perfect. Being able to swim with sea turtles at your hotel is pretty amazing. The snorkeling and fish at the resort were great. The food is good at the Barcelo Maya Palace were good too. COMPLAINTS: no washcloths, it was not explained to us how to book restaurants(for example while you can only book one per day, you can book Wednesday on Monday. There is A LOT of walking and no “golf cart” transportation offered(this matters because I am recovering from a broken foot) additionally I rarely had the same bartender so where at some resorts you find “that waiter, waitress or bartender that remembers you.” This was not the case. Also the fact that people are allowed to reserve all the chairs by placing towel clips on them should not be allowed(at any resort) they take up the beach chairs for hours while they aren’t there. Overall this resort was great just a few things I would change.

We have a very difficult traveling with small kids with severe food allergies. The staff at Maya Palace was amazing and did everything to ensure their meals were all handled with care and avoiding all her food allergies. They always went the extra mile for us and allowed us to enjoy our vacation alot better than we expected.

Great stay

Our family had a blast! Everyone was very nice and polite and helpful. The food was amazing. The resort and pools were beautiful! All around awesome! We only had issues with hot water in our shower, and our room was far away from any of the activities. But nothing that would stop us from coming back again! We had an amazing time there!

Very nice place overall. My family and I are extremely happy. I am actually planning to come back again; however, my only comment is about the beach. There are many rocks in the ocean and around the beach entrance that make walking harder because they're in the water; you can't see them until they hit your leg, and the edges could be cleaner. I know it's nature, but the resort could do a better job keeping the beach edges clean. Besides that, the entertainment, restaurants, and the buffet are great; all the staff is very nice and helpful. No complaints at all.

This resort was amazing and so large!! So many things to do! From the beach to the numerous amount of pools throughout, swim up bar, water activities for the kids, mini mall, and all the food!! Definitely will be going back to this place!

Barcelo Maya Palace is a great resort with access to it's sister properties within the Barcelo Complex. The resort was clean and staff was very friendly. The beach area was clean without a lot of seaweed. I would recommend the Barcelo resorts. Visit the other properties if you want a different buffet experience.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the Maya Palace. While the property itself is beautiful, the overall experience fell far below expectations. The biggest issue was the cleanliness and maintenance. Common areas and parts of the resort often felt neglected, and our room wasn’t consistently cleaned to the standard you’d expect from a resort of this caliber. We also dealt with maintenance issues that took far too long to be addressed. Like our room AC that we called in 3 different times the first two days, and they didn’t believe us. Until the 4th time when they sent over a technician who said the sensor was broken and read 19 celsius but it really was 34 Celsius. Not to mentioned the amount of killed bloody mosquitoes all over the walls and not cleaned. Customer service was another major letdown. It was difficult to get assistance, and many staff members seemed uninterested in resolving concerns. Simple requests either took hours or were never followed through. The food was repetitive, lacked variety, and was often served lukewarm. For an all-inclusive resort, I expected much better quality and fresher options. The resort was also overcrowded, making it difficult to find pool chairs, enjoy the amenities, or get timely service at the bars and restaurants. Long waits became the norm throughout our stay. Overall, I left feeling that the experience did not justify the price we paid. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again or recommend it to friends or family.

Best Resort I have seen in my life. Excellent service, lots of fun and entertainment. Foods of high quality.

Beach & pool was amazing, staff did a tremendous job at keeping the property clean and well kept. Seaweed was well cleaned on the beach. Food and drinks were great as well!
