Check-in was a nightmare, taking over an hour, and we didn’t get the room we reserved. As premium clients, no one informed us we could use the VIP check-in area, which was frustrating. The hotel is nice and massive, with tons of activities and pools, but it’s impractical. Getting towels or finding a bathroom requires a long walk, and unlike other hotels, there are no food carts by the pool area. Signs for activities are everywhere, but the size makes everything a trek. It’s not family-friendly due to the sprawling layout. The food is good—buffets at La Hacienda and the evening restaurants are solid, but you need to book the latter early.
