Water could of been hotter only Luke warm overall nice stay staff very friendly lift was broken on arrival but one lift was fixed during our stay

Staff very kind helpful efficient wanted clean towels went down told re rption thrm returned directly to room ro find housekeeper with clean towels. Shame owners had let it get j to such a bad state. 1 lift only suitable for 1 1/2 persons only working lift in whole building for over a week no sign of maintenance being done.

You get what you pay for. It needs updating but staff were very good and friendly.

The hotel felt dirty especially the carpets in the communal areas and bedrooms. Only 1 tiny lift was working that just about fit two people in. The bathroom in our room looked like certain parts of the shower needed a really good clean. The room wasn't serviced while we were there so no restock of toilet roll or no fresh towels etc. The pillows were not comfortable The main parts of the hotel like foyer, restaurant , bar seemed cleaner and better looked after. Dogs were welcome. Good location right on the beach, near the town and pier.

My room had been redone and was very good. Had anticipated a room looking over the dustbins as a single traveller but even had a sea view! Staff very good and had its own car park.

Great location! Right by the beach & a few restaurants around the corner. My only complaint really is the lack of amenities - little things like no fridge or microwave in the room, no ice machine in the hotel, no fan/ac - it was very warm in the room and I had to open the window, but the windows do not have screens so a few bugs flew into the room. And the water pressure in the shower was very poor - the bathroom sink had better water pressure than the shower. I was only there 2 nights so it was fine overall, but for longer stays I’d probably look for something with better amenities.

The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean although quite basic. Breakfast was really good with a big choice available. We had a very enjoyable stay and the only reason I marked it down was due to the hotel looking tired in different areas and could do with a refresh.

I expected two beds (double, single) in one place as I booked family room but one single bed was placed in a different room. I have no idea why the beds are separated. The hotel itself is old and smelly. The only good thing is great ocean view

Hotel was very dated. Room door was bowed and didn't fit properly, window frames were rotten and corridors very noisy. But, staff were friendly and welcoming, room furniture was knew and bed and pillows were very comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay we got free upgraded room Due to one allocated was very small and dark and view fire exit stair case , I went to reception and they gave me 3 other rooms to choose from which was good, breakfast think they should give you options to choose items you need as I can’t eat very much due to medical condition. Think they should stop smoking rooms as corridor was very strong of smoke and made my dad stressed due to him having to keep taking his medical pump . I didn’t take staff name that changed our room but was very polite .

Spacious room overlooking the pier , good location, breakfast menu good, room was not that clean when arrived, cleaner never came , so tea / coffee not topped up.

Lovely breakfast but only serving till 10am would have been better till 11 with a check out at 11am

We have stopped here many times and it remains excellent value for money. Sure, its an old hotel, that gives charactervand charm, the staff are really good, friendly snd hrlpful. The rooms are clean, presentable and good value. The breakfast has everything you could possibly want. Location is excellent, on the sea front, central and has its own parking, charged atba very reasonable rate. Highly recommended, value for money hotel. If you want a mid range accommodation, its ideal

The reception area was welcoming. We were upgraded from a standard room overlooking the beach - I would hate to see what the standard room looked like. Our room was clean but very out-dated and tired looking. The shower cubicle was surrounded by mould and the bathroom windows could not open. As you looked out of the window all you saw was bird muck everywhere. The windows were single glazed so you heard everything outside. The breakfast was self service and okay. If you are vegetarian you had to order your sausages. The coffee was good and the staff were very friendly.

Great selection at breakfast. All staff were friendly and helpful. Great value for money stay, though we appreciate the hotel is a little dated we had a great stay. Our room was clean and spacious.
