The room was spacious and beautiful. Breakfast was great at the first days. All of a sudden, they decided to change a lot of buffet items to ala carte, but they didn't have enough staff to do so. So that sucked cause it would take so much time and they would say we are out of 1-2 items. That was a big negative point. I have never experienced this at any hotel before. For the rooms, room service was just ok. Cause they would question you for everything. One time we requested water, because the room service had forgotten to place the complementary water, but the person picking up the calls would tell us since you got your daily cleaning you have to pay for the water and the delivery fee!! Hotel is nice but servicd is average. Location, far from activities. Best part was the large spacious room with kichenette whichi is great if you have kids.

Stunning property! We stayed in a waterfront suite that was to die for! We would definitely be coming back. The service was impeccable. The lounging areas and cocktail bar were amazing.

The reception and staff was very supportive and the room was fine. Only after I checked out I closed the bill. Only I had a guest still in the room but anticpated that the bill was closed. Only without my concetn has the hotel accepted more ordrrs in the room including charging late check out while I coordinated that the latest the guest would leave was 13:00 which they say was fine. I know the hotel had a friend of my guest at the reception that maybe has made them not follow the normal procedure but I was shocked when I saw the final cost charged to me.

“If you value security and accountability, think twice about this hotel.” I’m an American traveler with Hyatt and Marriott Gold status who has stayed in hundreds of hotels worldwide. I chose to try SLS Hotel Barcelona and left extremely disappointed. During checkout, I asked Guest Services to collect my luggage. After I departed, I discovered my Apple AirPods were missing from my backpack. Apple’s Find My iPhone showed the AirPods at multiple locations within the hotel and then moving locations in Barcelona shortly after I reported the loss. Despite multiple calls with staff (including names provided), I received no meaningful update. In my view, this reflects a serious breach of trust and security while my luggage was under hotel control. I have never experienced anything like this at any other property. I urged management to preserve CCTV/key-card logs, conduct a proper investigation, and provide a full refund and appropriate compensation. Travelers deserve a hotel that safeguards guest property and responds promptly and transparently when something goes wrong. Sadly, that was not my experience here.

I recently stayed at SLS Barcelona while attending a conference. The hotel itself is lovely – modern, stylish, and comfortable. The bar staff were wonderful, very friendly and welcoming, and the lady who checked us in was equally lovely. Our room was clean and nicely designed. That said, the location is not ideal if you want to explore the city. It worked well for my conference, but it is a bit far from most of the main attractions and central areas. There were also a few disappointments during our stay. We were meant to receive a complimentary bottle of wine, which never arrived. I contacted the hotel about it, and they replied saying they could not deliver it because our “Do Not Disturb” sign was on the door. I responded stating it had been removed and times we would be available, but never heard back. Additionally, the safe in our room had been locked by a previous guest and was unusable, and no one came to fix it despite raising the issue. At checkout, I mentioned the missing wine again. The staff checked to see if we had at least received the fruit that was meant to be included, which we had not. They apologised and offered my partner a takeaway coffee, which was appreciated, but overall there was no real attempt to make up for the missed amenities. A lovely hotel with kind staff, but the service follow-up needs improvement, and the location is just not the best for exploring the city.
