-What you can expect- The express whale watching boat, Lilja, is one of the newest additions to the fleet. It was remodeled in 2014 on the inside, and 2016 the outside was transformed with new viewing platforms on the decks to make it possible for all the guests to find a place to see the amazing wildlife. The boat itself is licensed for 189 passengers and is extremely well organized in terms of passenger comfort, both inside and outside on the decks. The tour will start from Reykjavik's Old Harbour and will take around 15-20 minutes to get to the whale watching area. You'll get to see the whales in their natural environment, sometimes up and close. The friendly guides and captain will point out where to spot the whales on the surface of the sea and will give you interesting information about the whales you can expect to see.
