08:30-09:30 Pick up from hotels in central Chiang Rai and head out of the city to Doi Tung, a region situated in the mountains at 2000 meters above sea level.

09:30-10:00 Learn about the challenge of opium cultivation and how Doi Tung Development Project can help eradicate the issue and promote a more sustainable agriculture among the farmers.

10:00-11:00 Visit Mae Fah Luang Gardens to admire the heavenly garden teeming with colorful flowers

11:00-11:30 Continue to Doi Tung Temple sitting at the hilltop. Constructed in the year 911, the peaceful temple is widely revered and frequently visited by local worshippers, who often make donations and earn merit.

11:30-12:30 Stroll around the Royal Handicraft Center, which is one of the Development Projects to help generating additional income for farming families and to support traditional Thai crafts.

12:30-13:00 Take a lunch break and travel to Mae Sai — a famous border market

13:00-14:00 Stroll the main market of Mae Sai, see various goods displayed on the stalls and meet some vendors or shoppers from Myanmar

14:00-14:30 Take a short travel and arrive at the Golden Triangle, a world famous landmark where Thailand, Myanmar and Laos converge. Discover the notorious history of the site which was infested with opium trades.
