I found this hotel by accident. It turned out to be very comfortable. The call center responded quickly, the staff was friendly, and the hotel had a great vibe. Although it's a bit far from the tourist center, I'll definitely stay here again if I go back to Yogyakarta. But in hindsight, it was actually quite nice. The surrounding area isn't too crowded. Didn't expect with such cheap price to get premium service facilities from the hotel. There is swimming pool, small mini zoo, tennis court, breakfast menu is varied from appetizer to dessert. Staff and security are very helpful. Most importantly access to everywhere is close.

Ordered via app to check in on March 16, 2026, given on the 2nd floor, room 211, the room was very dirty with lots of dry leaves, the balcony was also very dirty with lots of leaf litter, the room floor was also dirty as if it hadn't been used for a long time and hadn't been cleaned.

LPP Garden Hotel has now changed its name to Mantravana Hotel. The location is a bit off the beaten track from downtown Yogyakarta, in the Depok area near Plaza Ambarrukmo. There are plenty of food vendors around the hotel, but you have to walk a few hundred meters to the main road. The service is good, check-in and check-out are quick and hassle-free, requiring only an ID card and no deposit. All the staff are friendly. The hotel room is quite comfortable, but the uncomfortable part is the squeaky mattress. I'm not sure if it's the spring mattress or the bed frame. There's no need to use the AC because the room is already cool and fresh. Although the hotel is a bit old and some walls are damp, there's no creepy or sleepy feeling. The hotel is very spacious with a swimming pool in the middle of the hotel garden. There's also ample parking. The bathroom is adequate, standard hotel rooms have a sink, a sitting toilet, and a shower that can be used for ablution (not a permanent shower), but it's better to bring your own amenities. The towels are thick and fragrant. The blower is a bit noisy. The water flow is very strong so the hot water works well. I booked a deluxe city view, but the room's balcony faces the garden and swimming pool. There is no elevator in this hotel.

In a 4-star hotel, the rooms, especially the bathrooms, were in very poor condition. The toilets were dull and wobbly, and the showers were poorly maintained. The breakfast menu was very limited, with plates and food being neglected, and the breakfast room being in poor condition. The swimming pool facilities were only accessible until 7 a.m.
