I stayed at the Maxone Hotel Palembang for 3 days.
1. On the first day, I checked in and was given a room on the 3rd floor. When I got there, it hadn't been cleaned. So I went back down to the front desk and was given another room on the 3rd floor. When I got there, I was given a twin bed room, even though I had booked a Superior King. Luckily, the front desk immediately called me and told me to wait in the room to be given a new room key and upgraded. The front desk wasn't very thorough. It was tiring going back down to the front desk, especially since I had luggage. The Wi-Fi in the room also wouldn't connect to my phone or TV, even though I had called an engineer.
2. On the second day, everything was fine, but the Wi-Fi still wouldn't connect to my phone or TV.
3. On the third day, the Wi-Fi in the room still wouldn't connect to my phone or TV. And when I checked out, I was charged for causing food stains on the blanket. I hadn't eaten on the bed or on the blanket. I always check for dirt. And I always throw my trash in a plastic bag or trash can, intending to make it easier for housekeeping to clean the room.
4. There's always the sound of renovations at 10 a.m., which really disturbs my sleep.
Honestly, this was my most disappointing experience staying at Maxone. I've stayed here many times over the past 10 years.
I hope the staff's performance improves.

Pros:
1. Strategic location. Walking distance to PTC and Pempek Beringin. There's a BCA ATM across from the hotel.
2. The Superior room is spacious and large.
3. Welcome drink included.
4. Check-in was as early as 1:30 PM and was called in order, no fighting.
5. White and clean sheets and towels.
Cons:
1. Security is very poor. Someone else opened my room door at 318. I was shocked. How could this be possible? I've stayed in many hotels, but this is the first time I've experienced such an unpleasant experience.
2. The two female staff members were unfriendly and lacked smiles.
3. The window lock was broken.
4. The window shade wouldn't open because the strap was broken.
5. I asked for a chair but wasn't given one.
6. I asked for the TV channel to be fixed, but there was no response until I checked out.
7. I couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi. I tried several times. I've reported it to the receptionist, but there's still no response or action.
8. I called the receptionist, but they didn't pick up.
9. Crossing the street is very difficult because of the many passing vehicles.
10. There's no work chair, no mini-fridge, and no safe.
11. I was asked for a deposit of IDR 150,000.
12. I was only given one slipper and toilet kit, even though I paid for two people.

The breakfast food was delicious, but on the second day of breakfast, the melon seemed a bit underripe, but they did a really good job. The next day when I had breakfast, they replaced the fruit and it tasted sweet and fresh.
