Stayed there for 5 days, the sheets were changed every day and the room was cleaned, super comfortable, the room was spacious, clean, had a balcony, a refrigerator, and a bathtub. The staff can speak English. Early check-in is possible but there is a charge, but you can leave your luggage at the reception if you arrive before check-in time. There is a 2000 Baht deposit that will be returned after check-out. There are lots of food around the hotel, near Pratunam Market, close to 2 Sevel. There is a comfortable and delicious massage place under the hotel! If you want to order an online taxi, it's easy because the road in front of the hotel is still passable by cars. Highly recommended!!

I stayed at Livotel Hotel Kaset Nawamin Chatuchak and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The hotel is conveniently located near everything you might need. Just a short walk away, there’s a 7-Eleven (my go-to for quick essentials), along with food stalls that come alive at night, a pharmacy, and a laundry area. The beddings were comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Even as a solo traveler from the Philippines, I felt right at home. The locals in the area are so kind and helpful. Even with a language barrier, they were patient, and my translator app made communication easy. Overall, I had a fantastic experience here, and I’m already considering coming back for a longer stay. Highly recommend this place for solo travelers looking for a cozy and convenient stay! Khop khun kha 🇹🇭🙏 — VA Peggy 🇵🇭

A highly recommended place to stay as it is directly connected to the BTS Ratchathewi. Suitable for elderly people too and needless to walk far for BTS. Food is moderate and of not much variety daily. However, they are tasty. Room is clean and comfortable.

Every time I go to Bangkok, I always stay at Baiyoke Sky. It's very strategic, just go down the stairs and you're in front of the Pratunam morning market and night market. On the left side, there are also many massage places and 7-Eleven. The breakfast menu is also delicious, the service is also friendly, and the room is clean. Every day, 4 bottles of drinking water are added.

Good room, delicious breakfast and I really like the smell of UHG hotels. Both places I stayed were fragrant. I love it so much. Everything is great. The view from the room is of both the swimming pool and BTS. Most importantly, the hotel is located very well. It is near Central Ladprao, Union Mall, and it is also connected to MRT Phahon Yothin Exit 1. It is very convenient and easy to get to the airport. They have so many free services included in the reservation: welcome drink, supper, Thai traditional costume photoshoot, breakfast, free massage (certain hours), 24 hours buggy services. All is good. I want to highlight the great laundry services, which they did ahead of time with excellent quality. One of the greatest points is when the laundry takes care of details such as replacing missing buttons. It is the result of detail and high-quality control. More about hotels in Bangkok

Hotels in Bangkok, Thailand – Top Picks for Singaporean Travellers

Bangkok is one of the most popular travel destinations for Singaporeans, and it is easy to see why. With direct flights from Singapore Changi Airport taking just under two and a half hours, Bangkok offers an incredibly accessible escape filled with world-class street food, glittering temples, vibrant night markets, and a hotel scene that ranges from ultra-budget hostels to some of the finest luxury properties in Southeast Asia. For Singaporean travellers, the favourable SGD-to-THB exchange rate means that your dollar stretches significantly further in Bangkok. A comfortable mid-range hotel room that might cost SGD 200 per night in Singapore can be had for SGD 60 | SGD 100 in Bangkok, making it one of the best value-for-money city break destinations in the region. Booking your Bangkok hotel through Traveloka lets you compare prices in SGD, read verified reviews, and secure flexible cancellation options, all from a platform designed for Southeast Asian travellers.

Best Areas to Stay in Bangkok

Bangkok is a sprawling metropolis with distinct neighbourhoods, each offering a different vibe and experience. Choosing the right area to stay in can make a significant difference to your trip. Here is a guide to the most popular hotel districts in Bangkok for Singaporean visitors, so you can pick the neighbourhood that best suits your travel style and itinerary.

Sukhumvit – The Expat & Lifestyle Hub

Sukhumvit is Bangkok’s longest road and one of the most popular areas for international visitors. Stretching from the city centre deep into the eastern suburbs, the Sukhumvit corridor is lined with hotels ranging from budget guesthouses to five-star properties. The area around BTS stations Nana, Asok, Phrom Phong, and Thong Lo is particularly vibrant, offering a dense concentration of restaurants, rooftop bars, shopping malls like Terminal 21 and EmQuartier, and lively nightlife. For Singaporean travellers, Sukhumvit is a familiar and comfortable base. Many Singaporean restaurant chains have outlets here, and the area has a distinctly cosmopolitan feel. Hotel prices along Sukhumvit vary widely, with budget rooms starting from around SGD 25 | SGD 40 per night and luxury suites going up to SGD 300 or more. The BTS Skytrain runs the length of Sukhumvit, making it incredibly easy to get around the city without relying on taxis or tuk-tuks.

Silom & Sathorn – Business District with Character

Silom and the adjacent Sathorn area form Bangkok’s main business district, but they are far from boring after office hours. By night, Silom transforms into a bustling hub of street food stalls, night markets, and entertainment venues. The famous Patpong Night Market is located here, offering everything from clothing and souvenirs to local handicrafts. Silom is also home to some of Bangkok’s most iconic dining experiences, including rooftop restaurants with panoramic city views. Hotels in Silom and Sathorn tend to be slightly more upscale, with many international chains represented. Prices for a comfortable four-star hotel start from around SGD 60 | SGD 90 per night. The area is well connected by both the BTS Skytrain and MRT subway, and it provides quick access to attractions such as Lumpini Park, the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, and the Chao Phraya River waterfront.

Siam & Pratunam – Shopping Paradise

If shopping is high on your Bangkok agenda, the Siam and Pratunam areas are where you want to be. Siam is home to mega malls like Siam Paragon, CentralWorld, and MBK Centre, while nearby Pratunam is famous for its wholesale clothing market and the massive Platinum Fashion Mall. Singaporean travellers who love a good bargain will find Pratunam especially rewarding, as prices here are a fraction of what you would pay at Orchard Road. Hotels in the Siam area range from trendy boutique properties to large international chains. Expect to pay from SGD 45 | SGD 80 per night for a well-located mid-range hotel. The BTS Siam station is the interchange between the Sukhumvit and Silom lines, making this a strategically excellent base for exploring all parts of Bangkok by public transport.

Khaosan Road – The Backpacker Legend

Khaosan Road has long been the beating heart of Bangkok’s backpacker scene. While it has evolved significantly over the years, it still offers some of the cheapest accommodation in the city, with hostel beds from SGD 8 per night and private rooms from SGD 20 | SGD 35. The area around Khaosan is also one of the best for exploring Bangkok’s historic attractions, including the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun, all of which are within walking distance or a short tuk-tuk ride away. For Singaporean travellers on a tight budget or those who enjoy a lively social atmosphere, Khaosan remains a solid choice. The street itself comes alive after dark with bars, street food vendors, and live music. It is worth noting that Khaosan is not directly on the BTS or MRT lines, so you will need to take a taxi, bus, or boat to reach the Skytrain network.

Riverside – Luxury and Heritage

The banks of the Chao Phraya River are home to some of Bangkok’s most prestigious hotels, including iconic properties that have hosted royalty and celebrities for decades. Staying by the riverside gives you a completely different perspective of Bangkok, with stunning sunset views over the water, traditional long-tail boat rides, and easy access to riverside temples and markets. Luxury riverside hotels in Bangkok typically start from SGD 120 | SGD 200 per night, which is still remarkably affordable compared to equivalent waterfront hotels in Singapore. The Chao Phraya Express Boat service connects the riverside area to major attractions and BTS stations, making it a viable base even if you plan to explore the wider city.

Bangkok Hotel Prices & Value for Singaporeans

One of the biggest advantages of visiting Bangkok from Singapore is the exceptional value for money. The SGD-to-THB exchange rate consistently works in favour of Singaporean travellers, with one Singapore dollar buying approximately 25 to 27 Thai baht. This means that even a modest travel budget goes a long way in Bangkok. A comfortable three-star hotel in a central location costs around SGD 35 | SGD 60 per night, while a four-star hotel with a pool and breakfast included can be found for SGD 70 | SGD 120. Five-star luxury hotels with world-class spas and river views range from SGD 150 | SGD 400 per night. By comparison, similar quality accommodation in Singapore would cost two to three times as much. On Traveloka, you can view all prices in SGD, which makes it easy to budget your trip without constantly converting currencies. The platform also highlights special deals, promo codes, and member-exclusive discounts that can bring prices down even further.

Getting to Bangkok from Singapore

Bangkok is served by two airports. Suvarnabhumi Airport handles most international flights, including direct services from Singapore Changi Airport operated by Singapore Airlines, Scoot, Thai Airways, and several other carriers. Flight time is approximately two hours and twenty minutes. Budget airline options through Don Mueang Airport are also available, with carriers like AirAsia and Thai Lion Air offering competitive fares. Return flights from Singapore to Bangkok can be found from as low as SGD 100 | SGD 200 during promotional periods. On Traveloka, you can bundle your flight and hotel booking together to unlock additional savings. The platform makes it straightforward to search for flights, compare hotel options, and complete your entire trip booking in one session.

Tips for Booking Bangkok Hotels on Traveloka

To get the most out of your Bangkok hotel booking, consider these practical tips. Book at least two to four weeks in advance for the best rates, especially during peak seasons such as November to February when the weather is cooler and drier. Use Traveloka’s price filter to narrow down options within your budget, and sort by guest rating to find the most highly recommended properties. Pay attention to the hotel’s distance from the nearest BTS or MRT station, as this will greatly affect your daily commute around the city. Look for properties that include breakfast, as this can save you SGD 10 to SGD 20 per person per day. Finally, check for Traveloka flash sales and coupon codes before completing your booking, as discounts of 15 to 30 percent are regularly available. With Traveloka, planning a Bangkok getaway from Singapore has never been easier or more affordable.
