ULTIQA Burleigh Mediterranean Resort

We stayed at Ultiqa Mediterranean Apartments expecting a 2 Bedroom Superior Apartment for my wifes birthday and our babymoon, which is what we booked and paid for through Hotels.com. On arrival, it was clear we had instead been placed in a standard 2 bedroom apartment on the first floor. The room was bare and clearly the standard room as evidenced by its images on the hotel.com website corresponding to that for the standard room and not the superior room. After raising the issue with reception, we were moved to the correct room the following day, which we appreciated, but that still meant we spent the first night in the wrong room type which we paid additional for. Another major disappointment was that the outdoor pool was not operational, and we were not advised of this before arrival. We were advised that neighbouring construction but not t This was one of the reasons we chose the property, particularly as my pregnant wife was looking forward to being able to use the pool during our stay. Had we known this in advance, we may have booked elsewhere. To be fair, staff did ultimately offer to move us into the correct room, and we appreciated that effort. However, the stay did not begin as booked, and the lack of advance notice about the pool significantly affected our experience. Overall, this stay fell short of expectations and of what was advertised. I’d recommend future guests confirm both the exact room type and that key facilities are fully available before arrival.

The pool was under going renovations- which we were only told about at check-in. However we did get the room at a good price - maybe that's why....

Staff location room every thing

Great value for money especially when comparing similar options. Our balcony overlooked the beach which was perfect for morning coffee or sunset at the end of the day. About 15/20min walk down to Burleigh pavilion and town center, we preferred this as it felt like we were out of the hustle and bustle. Rooms were not fancy but had everything you would need.

These are privately owned apartments. Each suite is only managed by the on-site Management team. We booked a 2 bedroom ocean view and were assigned a 9th floor room. The view is excellent from this floor. This suite is in need of renovation. The carpets are stained all over the suite to the point that there is a grey border along the baseboards. This carpet is loose from age. The sofa is dirty and broken. There is no air conditioning in the living room/kitchen/office area. We asked to be moved and were reassigned to the 4th floor. That suite had been previously updated. The carpets were cleaner and newer as was the furniture. In both suites, the kitchens are original and are in need of renovation. The cabinets were beginning to falling apart in the most frequently used areas. The upper dishwasher rack in the 2nd suite was broken and inoperable. Both suites as well as the hallways etc need to be cleaned. The walls, doors and high touch surfaces are dirty. The staff are very friendly and when we politely asked for a different suite they were helpful.

Slight hiccup with payment but check in was easy, access was easy as I'm in a wheelchair at the moment, shower was hard to navigate but the view made everything worth while. We stayed for our wedding weekend with numerous wedding guests.

Neat and well presented

We stayed in a superior ocean view room. The room itself was very modern with everything you could need for your stay. Comfortable beds. Quick check in & out. Nice flat 5-7 minute walk to the centre of Burleigh. Enjoyed our stay & would stay again. My only comment would be that due to the amount of trees grown up in front it’s more of an ocean glimpse between them, however that is not isolated to this resort & would be the whole way along that stretch of beach.

Liked our stay this week, great location, facilities were amazing. However our room was in need of a good clean.

1 bed apartment was spacious and with views of the surf. Bedroom was roomy and bed very comfortable. Close to transport options and local shopping centre. Would definitely stay again

Location was fantastic with full ocean views. Bed was comfortable. Blinds not blockout so wake at 4.30 in summer. Apartment was cheaply renovated, if you are a larger person would struggle to access narrow shower entrance, carpet was very old and smelt a bit off. The apartment you get is random and unlikely to be the one pictured when booking. Reception was friendly. Was fine for a few nights but wouldn’t stay again.

Clean with well stocked kitchen. Thankfully the AC worked well and no issues with the appliances.

Yes the room was good. Unfortunatley teh pool wasnt as clean as expected and teh works around hotel was messy and noisy.

My family have previously stayed in a three bedroom apt at this property and enjoyed the location which is why we booked a return stay. However the apartment we were allocated this time was on a lower floor (7) and TBH it was not very clean. There was a strong smell of cooking fat and the kitchen including all the cutlery and crockery felt sticky. It appeared that the apartment had not had anything more than a surface clean for quite a while and there were cobwebs and dust around all the furniture and fittings. There was also SIGNIFICANT noise throughout the night from the construction works on the GC tram track. Only one of the lifts in the building worked which resulted in considerable delays entering and exiting the building - this was our experience on both trips. When the lift did eventually arrive on the ground floor it required a lot of workarounds to get it to respond to keyed directions. From chatting with full time residents of the property this is an enduring issue. Loved the location and the layout of the apartment but would not book again.

Our stay was ruined by the noise from the pressure cleaning happening on the building all the days we were there
