Aava Whistler Hotel

Friendly, good experience

I really enjoyed my stay at the Aava hotel,

Overall, the stay was fine. I like it there. The only thing that happened that really bothered me was on the Saturday night, we went to the hotel lobby to play some games at the big table they have down there. After all, you would think the table and furniture is there for guests to use and enjoy, and we wouldn't want to play games in the room with like 8 people as we wouldn't want to disturb anyone. Last year for my birthday we went up and stayed there, and used that table and space specifically for that and it was a fantastic time. Which is why we chose to stay there again. But...we went down to lobby, and were sitting there, enjoying outselves, and at like, I dunno, around 10:45 or something like that, whatever time it was. Maybe 11, I am not sure, the front desk guy comes out of the back room and decides to shut all the overhead lobby lights off on us. We were all like, what the heck! We were all just really shocked at that. Here you have guests, using the facilities and table and chairs that you have set up, that is supposed to be for guests, and he shuts it off and puts us in the dock. NOT impressed at all, whatsoever. We were going to make an annual thing of this, to get together and stay there, as we really liked the place for that exact reason. That great lobby area where we could use the space. But if that is what is going to happen, not sure we want to stay there next year. Was very very rude and disrespectful and not the way to give a good guest exp.

Room was clean, hotel was nice staff was helpful. We stayed there several times best deal Whistler. Only problem is heating units in the rooms, they are so outdated and very loud.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were all nice and attended to a few requests we made and the rooms were very clean. Would recommend for sure

The amenities in this hotel are great! I was surprised to find the pool was still open at this time of the year and so warm. The young girl at the front desk was so helpful as well.

Clean room… comfortable, great location.

Great pool, hot tub and sauna. Rooms are small and plain. Sheets are like newspaper and have holes. Lousy room coffee. Apparently there was an elephant in the room above. Won’t go back

Room was clean. However, we had mini towels availables for the pool and no robes.

Decent place for the price. Room relatively clean. Walls are VERY thin. Could hear neighbours phone on vibrate in next room, and received noise complaint for our TV that was not very loud. Best for short stays.

The room unfortunately smells very strongly of wet dog. Left the window open for a few hours and the smell is still pungent. Maybe in the carpet from a previous guests pet? It needs to be cleaned and disinfected.

We come every year and love the staff and pool nd friendly atmosphere

Clean rooms, quick access to village

Smaller than expected rooms, paying for daily parking was not expected. Staff was friendly & location was good.

Everything was great, clean, comfortable and the outdoor pool and spa are awesome!
