The Bloom is a beautiful, modern hotel with a stylish design. The bed was very comfortable, the duvets were soft, and overall the property has a great look and feel. Unfortunately, the housekeeping experience really let it down.
When we checked in, I found five used face towels tucked under the sink where the clean towels were stored. It took me less than two minutes to notice, which makes me wonder how both the housekeeper and whoever inspected the room missed something so obvious.
Our room also wasn't properly serviced during our stay. One day, someone only emptied the garbage while we were out, but the bed wasn't made, the used drinking glasses were left on the table, the bathroom wasn't cleaned, and there were no fresh towels. After calling the front desk that evening, someone eventually came but only dropped off towels before leaving. We had to ask again the following day, several times, before the room was finally cleaned.
Breakfast was another disappointment. The "All Canadian Omelette" was simply a plain omelette with no fillings or toppings, which wasn't what I expected.
Bloom has a lot of potential because the hotel itself is beautiful and comfortable, but better housekeeping quality control and improved breakfast offerings would make a huge difference. Right now, I can't give it a higher rating because those issues significantly affected our stay. I hope they can improve on this aspect and I hope to return in the future.
