Marriott Mena House Cairo

The hotel is beautiful and run by helpful, friendly staff. The 24 hour bar with a view of the pyramids is fantastic but Giza it’s self held very little charm.

Food quality lags behind and some supervisors/managers within the staff can hardly communicate in English or have a more resolute and classy approach. Despite that some employees, surprisingly not managers, actually stood out to have better skills, mannerisms and understanding than their managers so they raised the level to acceptable standards.

I stayed at Marriott Mena House and it exceeded all expectations. The location is perfect, just steps away from the Pyramids of Giza, with the most incredible view you can imagine. My room looked directly at the Great Pyramid and waking up to that sight was absolutely unforgettable. The property is well maintained with lush gardens, a beautiful pool, and a blend of modern comfort and historic charm. Service was excellent. Staff were attentive, friendly, and always willing to help. Breakfast overlooking the pyramids was another highlight of my stay. If you visit, I recommend booking a Pyramid View room. It is more expensive but worth every cent for the once-in-a-lifetime experience. Overall, this is the best hotel in Giza and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cairo.

My group was very nicely welcomed by the Hotel staff. The room service, restaurant, and club waiters are kind and professional. The spa was also good. It is a short distance from the Great Pyramids, and the concierge assisted us in going there safely. All the people we interacted with in the Hotel were kind and served us promptly. I want to mention: Mahmoud, Amal, and Ragab at the restaurant for their outstanding service. The cost was worth booking rooms facing the Pyramids. Very good experience in general at Mena House Hotel in Giza.

It’s all about location! The Marriott Mena House is situated right near the Giza Pyramids, making it ideal for sightseeing and offering easy access to the iconic ruins. However, the building itself is quite old and, while it has been renovated, it still feels outdated rather than impressive. While the property is clean and management does their best to maintain it, the facilities and rooms certainly do not match five-star standards—expect low ceilings, clustered spaces, and a dated ambience. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help, which I truly appreciated. In summary: The location is unbeatable, but the hotel’s structure and facilities are dated. If you’re looking for modern five-star luxury, you may not find it here, but you will experience warm, attentive service and, most importantly, easy access to the Giza Pyramids!

Amazing don’t go anywhere else guys!

Loved the hotel and the concierge staff on site were amazing especially Maria. Had some issues with delayed responses from concierge staff before my visit. Excellent property and amazing stay, lost 1 star for communication before arrival but some of this is on me as my trip was planned last minute. If I had planned far in advance it would not have been an issue. Views were amazing

Estadia impecável, todos os funcionários são extremamente cordiais. Era nossa lua de mel e ganhamos um cake, ao final da estadia ganhamos também uma retrato das pirâmides.

Property was beautiful, staff was helpful and pleasant. The restaurant was very good (139 The Pavilion). Only issue I had was I noticed a slight unpleasant smell in my pillows, this was unexpected and made what would have been a five star experience, a four.

AMAZING hotel! Customer service, my room the best ever,

・伝統あるホテルだけあって、非常に豪華であることもさることながら、ホテルからピラミッドを見ることができます。 ・私はピラミッドが見える部屋にしませんでしたが、朝食や散歩の際に充分ピラミッドを見ることができたので満足しています。資金的に余裕があれば、ピラミッドビューの部屋をお勧めしますが、私は基本的にホテルでは寝ていたので部屋からピラミッドを見る事はなかったので、そこはあまり関係ないと思います。 ・私は部屋からプールが見えました。それはそれで楽しげな声が聞こえ、リゾート感も味わえるので良いかと思いました。 ・ピラミッドの周りには、数件ピラミッドを見ることができるホテルがありますが、メナハウスはそのうち1番豪華なホテルになります。 ・空港からホテルはタクシーでも1時間位かかります。移動の際はそれを充分踏まえて行動する必要があります。 ・ホテルから空港に行くためには、Uberの運転手から特別料金を請求されるとがあります。私は数人の運転手と交渉し、1番安い特別料金を提示した運転手を指名して乗車しています。それらの交渉時間に20分から30分を要してしまったため、時間をロスしてしまったと反省しています。Uberについてはあらかじめ交渉しておいたタクシーを用意するか、お金があるなら、リムジンタクシーを利用することもご検討されてはいかがでしょうか。 ・Uberの運転手から見ると、ホテルのエントランスがわかりづらいようで、なかなかストレートにUberのタクシーが迎えに来てくれません。その場合はエントランスにいる職員にそのことを伝え、アラビア語で運転手さんにエントランスまで来ていただくよう案内してもらうといいと思います。 ・近くにはほとんどお店はないと思っていただいて良いと思います。連泊する場合は、日用品はあらかじめ揃えて置いた方が良いと思います。どうしても必要な場合は、ホテルの北側にガソリンスタンドが併設されているコンビニエンスストアがあります。こちらのコンビニエンスストアの物価の感覚は日本と同じです。またこのコンビニのみならずエジプトではホテル以外の店舗で、ビールなどのアルコール飲料を入手することはできないので、どうしても飲みたい場合は持ち込むか、ホテルで飲むかしかないと思います。 ・このコンビニに行くためには、片側4車線か5車線の信号のない道路を勇気を出して渡る必要があります。足腰の悪いご高齢の方は、本当に車にひかれてしまう可能性があるので、特に日用品については必ずご持参なされるのがよろしいかと思います。 ・その他日用品を買うため、タクシーで20分ほどかけて、メナハウスの北東にあるショッピングモールに行きました。 ・メナハウスでの夕食ビュッフェは1人65ドルで、私は食べることができませんでした。夕食ビュッフェは見るだけでしたが、とても美味しそうでした。お金に余裕がある方はそちらで夕食を楽しみください。一方お金がない方は夕食難民になる可能性もあります。その場合は徒歩15分かけて先ほど記載したコンビニで食料を調達する方法があります。そのコンビニには日本で言うところの調理パンとホットドッグぐらいしか売っていません。また周辺には何件かレストランがあるようですが、そこは行っていないのでコメントができません。 ・ホテルの従業員はとてもフレンドリーです。 ・ホテルは緑に囲まれており、とても静かです。しかし、虫は一切いないので、その点は安心しても良いかと思います。

Exceptional staff and service

I loved my room because I had a pyramid view room, so I got to see one of the pyramids from my balcony! The 24 hour’s restaurant is a must! Especially if you want to have a nightcap. The service was excellent overall!

カイロ市で街歩きを楽しめる感じではなかったので、チェックイン時に勧められたラウンジ利用を申し込みました。朝、昼、夕と少しづつですが食事ができて良かったです。エジプトの食事に美味しさを求めていなかったので満足ですが、食事そのものを楽しみたい方にはオススメしません。 ギザのピラミッドまではゴルフカートで送迎してくれ、2分足らずで到着します。11時くらいまでのサービスのようですが、これは最高。ただし、24時間前までに申し込めとされていて、チェックインした時点でその日も翌日の分も締め切られていました。交渉で明日の8:30なら空いていると言われ、そこに申し込みましたが、知っていれば好きな時間に予約したと思います。事前にホテルからのメールで知らされていたのかもしれませんが、なぜか全文が文字化けしていて読めなかったので、確かなことはわかりません。 ホテルはとても広く、お庭からはピラミッドが近くに見えます。ホテルの外と中の環境の違いに驚きますが、とても素敵なホテルです。ピラミッド観光するには最高だと思います。

Las recámaras que nos asignaron tenían mucho polvo, olían a encerrado y tanto los cojines como la ropa de cama olían a encerrado. Solicite que cambiaran todo por uno nuevo y lo hicieron pero resultó igual. No sé si sea su jabón o que tienen la ropa de cama y toallas almacenadas desde mucho tiempo y apestan. Fue muy incómodo. El gerente tuvo la atención el último día de regalarle a mis hijas unos snacks en compensación (se agradece) pero eso esclarece que su visión de atención al cliente es nula. Día casi una burla, me comentó que lo lamenta mucho y que la próxima ocasión me dará una vista al jardín jajajajaa como si fuera a repetir el hotel. Lo único que puedo recomendar del hotel son sus restaurantes en cuanto a comida y servicio pero el hotel es viejo, feo, olor pésimo y perteneció a los mayores saqueadores de Egipto. Todos los guías nos explicaron que ese hotel se hizo para hospedar a los saqueadores por excelencia que en ese momento fueron los británicos y franceses.
