Hilton Southampton - Utilita Bowl

The staffs working at the hotel are very nice and very helpful. I liked the morning breakfast buffet which had so many variety and strong recommendation to get it when staying this property .

Adam checked us in and was our person, he made us feel very welcome. I asked for a room away from lifts and quiet. That was the case. Our room was lovely. Also a shout out to the lady (blonde) who delivered our breakfast (room164) on the the 14-15 April. Very kind, professional. Thank you. Staff really make the venue. Look after them Hilton... The hotel is kept in good condition, is clean and in a good location (helps if you drive) but you are near lovely forestry that I recommend you explore. Lots of famous food places near by if needed but there is a restaurant on site too. Unfortunately I didn't try out the spa, had a sneaky look though as travelling with family to see family in the area. But I have recommended the spa to friends who want a quick getaway with a good spa. There is also a golf course...I don't golf but it looked amazing and well kept.

It was okay. Really busy and breakfast was slow with lots of tables not cleared. The kids slept of the bed settee and it had a massive dip in it and was uncomfortable. Our bed was good. Nice shower. But no tea facilities in the room.

Lovely hotel. Staff were so friendly. 2 small gripes; I expected a more modern TV to be able to cast to, sink in the bathroom was completely blocked and wouldn't drain at all. Other than that, great stay.

lovely hotel, we had two nights, breakfast was amazing. The comfort of the bed was average, room was very clean , over looking the stadium, nice to have a cuppa on the balcony.

Booked again here as nearby and wanted to get away for the night for a change of scenery for a birthday. Easy and friendly check in and lots of parking available. Room clean and very spacious with a beautiful view of the pitch. Has multiple plug and USB sockets and the necessary shower toiletries. Bar area had a lovely atmosphere, good drink selection and food menu. We had a snack there in the afternoon and room service later on for dinner. It's the second time we've been here and was a bit dubious about going again as the first time was absolutely brilliant and didn't want to ruin the memory incase it was a one off but we weren't disappointed and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend for a little break

Issues with fire alarm on 2nd night, kept going off and mattresses pretty hard.

Quiet, convenient location. Staff was excellent…check-in was super easy and provided information for next day transportation to cruise ship. Restaurant staff was very friendly and the food was delicious.

Nice hotel. However, disappointed being a sports facility that it does not show any sports on the tv in the bar. Had to go out to watch the football and eat elsewhere.

It was lovely staff were great and room was lovely it was are annivsary and I told them in are room we had a plate with choclates on and happy annivsary written on plate in choclate such a nice touch

Lovely room, good size. comfortable bed. Bathroom spacious and good walk in shower. Breakfast choice was good. Also had dinner and food was a good quality. Friendly staff. Good location, and free parking was good

No swimming pool, next to sport complex??? Extra charge for using spa facility

All the spa facilities sauna and steam room are not included in the booking via hotel com. When i book the spa, the attendant that serves us were very rude. She said to us, "You have to pay 49 pounds per person " in a tone of voice like we will not be able to afford it. We pay and use the facilities as this is what we aim for doing for our trip. The whole hotel is filled with rude people working there, i say hi to the woman who is doing housing keeping in the morning she look at me and ask me "which room are you coming out from? Is the room clear?' Instead of greeting like a normal person would do. The beds stinks, and the hotel room has quite a lot of wear and tears. We have a balcony room with the utilita bowl view if you open the window looking outside thats nice view but inside the room, it is low quality cleaniness and the sockets in the headboard area will definitely come off soon if they dont fix it. They allow dogs jumping around, barking like crazy and that causes loads of noise. I didnt feel redted and just keep me awake all night. Have complaint to the reception but no signs of them doing anything

It’s a nice enough property but there was one major issue and one policy that made in a far less pleasant stay than it might have been. The issues were Christmas parties on both nights of my stay that lasted until almost 1am. The music was so loud that the party might as well have been in my room. On the first night, the party was followed by the moving of furniture until 2am. The hotel offered no warning about the party at check-in (they claimed it was on their website, but admitted that not everyone books through their website). They could do nothing to alleviate the situation in the moment, and their offer of a mere 20% discount for the first night — when I was deprived of a decent night’s sleep (a fundamental reason for booking a hotel) — was laughable. The policy complaint is that guests on site do not actually have access even to the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi in the on site spa without paying additionally (and substantially). Even more ridiculously, booking a massage for over GBP100 *at that same spa* STILL does not actually provide a guest with access to those facilities. It’s truly absurd (and a ripoff).

No maintenance on the property disappointing

A bit disappointing. Room was too hot - someone had set the aircon to 28°! Also, I had checked online and it said that they had Sky Sports in the rooms. They don't. They wouldn't even put it on in the bar for me to watch the football 😭 Also, one usually gets tea, coffee and some biscuits in a hotel room. There was tea and coffee, but it was hidden away in the cupboard, so presumably was free. The only refreshments out in the open were the £1.50 bottles of water. I expect better for £120ish per night.

Really nice hotel, modern, good sized and comfortable rooms, parking with EV charging, good restaurant and excellent breakfast.
