Clean, quiet room with beautiful views across the Avon towards the Abbey. Pleasant staff and a comfortable bed.

From the outside, looks a little tired, but once you are in the rooms are large, clean, and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and thoughtful. Little touches, like a handwritten personal card in the room, make you feel welcome. My only extra two wishes would be for a little more illumination near the window for the evening (a reading lamp, for instance) and there were effectively two dressing tables but not a proper desk and chair - which makes it quite hard to do any work. The location is excellent, and I shall definitely try to stay again when I next visit Bath.

Just Wow ! We were in "The Range" Premier King Room. It was magnificent , The unique Range feature was amazing making the room unforgettable , with a huge stunning comfortable bed and beautiful furniture it felt more like being in a country manor. Very large double shower and the longest and deepest bath I have used, came with really nice toiletries, soft towels and bath robes. Considering the hotel is on a busy road the thick wooden shutters cut out all the noise. Breakfast was lovely , overlooking a pretty walled garden . Apologies for not remembering names but the lady we met on arrival was lovely , so welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and we felt like we were being greated by a friend. Also the young lady that took over in the evening was lovely and bar prices were very reasonable. Breakfast waitress was very attentive. There is parking in front of the hotel and on road parking right outside if the car park is full , you just have to give your car registration which they pass on for the permit. We were visiting The Bath Forum and it was only a 10 minute walk. Considering this Hotel is in Bath and the standard of everything it is great value for money. We will be back to try the other rooms.

Hotel was very dated, staff was very pushing and lacked any kind of customer service checking in and out.

Not what I was hoping for! It is rated as a 5-star hotel, which is ridiculous. But now I notice it calls itself a Guest House, which explains why there is no restaurant for either lunch or dinner. The parking arrangements were terrible, almost laughable, AND they charged me for it! My room was OK but rather tired.

Our stay with the Ayrlington was good. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly, and the location was perfect - meaning we didnt have to drive anywhere. There were a few issues with the room (named Bamboo) that I felt were not indicative of a 5-star hotel. Things like: 1. Plug socket next to bed faulty so I was unable to plug something in. 2. Misaligned wallpaper 3. Missing bulbs in light fittings 4. Mix of warm and cool white lights in chandelier 5. Cracked toilet seat 6. Shower going cold half-way through Other than that, the bed was really comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the service was great. We would stay again, just maybe not the same room.

I sent this email to the manager of the hotel and nobody even bothered to acknowledge it so I am posting it it on here. This goes to show you how unbothered and unprofessional they are for a 5 star hotel. I hope this email finds you well. I recently stayed at your hotel on Thursday 13th December and wanted to provide feedback on my experience, as it did not meet the expectations I had for a 5-star establishment. My wife and I had traveled for three hours from London to celebrate my wife’s birthday and were looking forward to a comfortable and restful stay. While I appreciated the thoughtful gesture of the card and balloons in the room, unfortunately, the overall experience left us with a sour taste. Upon arrival at 9:30 pm, I discovered there was no available parking. While the receptionist kindly directed me to an awkward space in the car park that wasn’t a proper bay, I was still charged £10 for parking. Considering this was not a designated space and the late hour of our arrival, I found the charge disappointing. I understand that policies are in place, but surely an exception could have been made given that we checked in so late and checked out at 8:30 am the next morning. Upon entering the room, I was disheartened to notice several issues. There was an infestation of ladybirds on the ceiling, the throw on the bed had a large white stain and the curtains were torn. While I understand that occasional issues can arise, these problems were far below the standard expecte

This hotel has beautiful decor and a cosy feel. We really enjoyed our stay. Bar is an added bonus, and the prices are not hiked. Breakfast was very good. M Highly recommend

The hotel has potential to be really lovely. Some areas are a little tired looking. Parking is tricky if you don’t arrive early. Tv doesn’t have a good signal so cuts out alot. No Xmas decorations up like all the other hotels sadly.

Superb place

Great stay, really enjoyed it. Receptionist was lovely and a nice location. Just be aware the carpark is small and you need to pay a clean air charge if traveling into bath.

The hotel was conveniently located for walking in to town which was a 5 to 6 minute walk. The hotel could do with some TLC as it did look a little shabby in our room. The carpet had stains, the curtains had water damage and it looked like there’d been a small leak in the bathroom as the wood was damaged. Also the outside of the building could do with being jet washed. The staff were all very polite and helpful and the breakfast was great.

When we arrived there was hair on the wall in the shower, the room was cleaned the following morning but the hair remained. Staff were nice but cleanliness was not up to standard at all

A very comfortable hotel with an easy walk to the city centre. Staff friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Perfect getaway for the busy town of Bath. All hotels are pricey so it is very much worth pushing out the boat a bit and getting your money's worth

Lovely stay in a great location in Bath. 7 minute walk to the centre. Amazing view from room.
