We recently stayed at Riad Palais des Princesses during our family trip to Marrakech. As it was our first time staying in a riad, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect — but here’s a quick rundown of our experience. First off, the location is great, and the staff were friendly and welcoming (specially the breakfast staff and the night time receptionist sorry didn’t ask for their names). We appreciated that they shared a WhatsApp number for the reception, which was really helpful… at first. For the first couple of days, they were responsive, but after that, no one was replying — which got frustrating, especially when you’re travelling with kids and the riad doesn’t have a lift. Having to run up and down to reception isn’t ideal when you’re juggling little ones. We booked a family room with one double and two single beds. The double bed side was fine, but the room with the two single beds had an air conditioning unit with a mind of its own. It worked when it wanted to, and though the staff kept sending someone to fix it, it never stayed fixed — and honestly, it got a bit tiresome after a while specially when it was 45 degrees outside. The riad itself is fairly clean, though not spotless. It’s probably better maintained than some others out there, but again — this was our first riad stay, so we didn’t have anything to compare it to. Overall, the riad has potential and some good points, but a few practical things (especially for families) definitely need improving.

This riad was the highlight of my trip to Marrakech. Beautiful property, quiet and clean premises, and great hospitality. Walking distance to eateries, shops, and points of interest. Attentive and polite staff that go out of their way to solve problems. Simo from the front desk epitomizes top notch customer service. He stepped in to ease up my departure process, which turned out more complicated than expected due to delayed transportation. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Amazing hotel, amazing staff. Great location, large rooms ( we stayed with 17 and 18 year olds and had plenty of room). Massage’s were great, Simo and the staff always helped with dinner choices, shops and any other needs we had. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again.

Hotel in de Medina, erg trage en chaotische check-in. Kamer was ruim maar luidruchtig. Wel een erg grote openlucht zwemkom.

I recently stayed at Riad Palais des Princesses, we obtained a room upgrade which was so perfect, room was spotless, spacious, well maintained, and the staff was incredible friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The location was perfect, walking distance to iconic places, shopping, and restaurants. I highly recommend this Riad.

Hotel perfeito, bem localizado e com um ótimo café da manhã. Fica bem dentro da Medina, o que facilita chegar às atrações e vans de passeio. Os chuveiros no Marrocos são um caso a parte, pois molham bastante o banheiro, mas em algum tempo ele já está seco 😬 Quarto de um tamanho razoável.

This was our first visit to Marrakesh for both my wife and me. We had always put it off, thinking it might not be suitable for us. To our surprise, it turned out to be a wonderful and adventurous experience. The Moroccan people, overall, are incredibly warm and welcoming. They genuinely care about visitors and treat guests with great respect. Coming from a background that favors spicy food, we still appreciated Morocco’s simple yet flavorful cuisine. Our first contact with Hotel Riad Palais des Princesses & SPA was through Simo, and I must give him full credit. From start to finish, he looked after us—arranging transport to and from the airport, explaining everything along the way, and always speaking in excellent English, which helped us a lot since we only speak English. Simo truly delivered exceptional customer service and went above and beyond what we expected. The breakfast at the hotel was extensive and delicious. Chef Nailla at the restaurant prepared meals to order for us a few times, and the food was excellent every time. The hotel itself was fantastic—I chose it because of its VIP status, and it did not disappoint. All the staff were friendly and professional. The female-only spa facilities were a great bonus, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed using them.
