Great location to many of the historical sites of Edinburgh. The area is highly walkable; but, plenty of public transportation options if needed. The room is well appointed and spacious. Staff were very helpful and responsive.

Perfekt beliggenhet. Lige ved Haymarket station hvor flybusser, sporvogn og bus går forbi
Bad om stille rom. Fikk et i underetagen, hvor eneste lyd vi hørte var fuglesang. Helt nydeligt.
Glem alt om at det er et problem hotellet er i flere bygninger. Funker fint.
Anbefales kraftige.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Haymarket. The staff were excellent and their breakfast was cooked to order. Location was very close to the Haymarket train station so very convenient. The only drawback was the hotel did not have an elevator. The hotel manager offered to move us to another one of their buildings but we elected to stay with our original room. At the end of the day, despite being on the top floor, the stairs were doable. Recommend staying.

Had a nice stay at the Haymarket. Older buildings that have been updated. Be aware that there is no off street parking available. We ended up booking a parking spot for our car up the street. They do have an app which is helpful to see what all is in the area. Basically a block away from the Haymarket Train Station and tram stop, making it super walkable and accessible to downtown and all of the tourist areas. The tram is super affordable and an easy way to get around, although be prepared to hike to Old Town either way. We did not partake in the hotel's bar or breakfast. There is lots of food options within just a few blocks, including a lovely cafe right next door. All in all, a nice stay here. Rooms were pretty clean and the one we booked was large which was nice.

A few steps away from the bus stop - Airlink100 to airport and Tram to city centre. So convenient. Hotel itself looks good from the outside and inside as well. Just a minor thing though in the bathroom. It has a wee smell. Prolly have some air freshener or something. But overall it’s clean. Still happy we stayed at this hotel.

Great location within walking distance of great cafés, the station and all the great attractions in Edinburgh. We were in the basement of one of the hotel townhouses. Spacious room but there was some noise early am when other guests arriving. Old place so windows not double glazed so this is inevitable. Great stay all in all and would use again.

Very charming place made up of a row of townhomes that have been beautifully restored. The staff was very professional and welcoming. The full breakfast offered many delicious options.
Haymarket was about a 10-15 minute walk to the key tourist destinations. As we had tougher weather, we ended up with more Ubers back and forth to the hotel, but they were very reasonable fares.

There was a lot of mold in the bathroom behind and around the toilet. The heat in the bathroom didn’t work and the shower hose was leaking. The fan in the bathroom also didn’t work great so after a quick shower everything got wet. On the third day we saw ants in the room.Talked to the staff and they switched our room (Not sure what would’ve happened if they didn’t have any availability’s). Quite a bit of cobwebs in both rooms. Saw a silverfish in the second room, but no ants and the heating worked.
If you want to go to princess street multiple times you should get a tram pass as it is quite far to walk (30+ min to the end).
Would probably not stay here again.

The hotel room is very nice in proportion to its size, although, unfortunately, fridges are not included. It is also very close to smooth transport options to and from the airport. The wi-fi is decent (open, not password-protected network). The system causes frequent automatic logouts and there is then a need to log back in, which is slightly disruptive. Unfortunately, the welcome drink voucher that was advertised to be part of the package linked to this hotel to Gold Hotels.com members was not provided. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience.
