Positives. Location is fantastic, in the middle of everything and close to metro but off the Main Street and quiet enough. Staff working us very helpful and friendly.
Negatives. Apartment is small and dated, furniture beat up. Frying pan all scraped and unsafe to use. I boiled water for my tea in 6-7 liter pot as there was none smaller. Dryer is ancient. Bathroom has very little counter space.

Viajamos num grupo de três pessoas. O apartamento é espaçoso. Conceito aberto de sala com cozinha. Um quarto com uma cama de casal e duas camas de solteiro. Possui máquina de lavar roupa. Um banheiro espaçoso. Apesar de anunciarem wifi gratuito, o apartamento não possui internet. Tivemos que adquirir um chip da VODAFONE. O apartamento só atende duas pessoas, pois o boiler só suporta dois banhos de dez minutos sem poder usar a pia da copa para cozinhar. Estávamos no inverno, entre -1°C a 14°C e minha mãe necessitava de água morna para tudo. A água em seu estado natural vinha GELADA. Não se podia ligar mais de dois aparelhos em sua capacidade máxima, pois o disjuntor desarmava. Ofereceram a troca de acomodação, mas já havíamos nos instalado e feito nossa limpeza. O café da manhã é servido em um restaurante na Calle de Barcelona, ao lado da recepção indicada para o check in.

Para comenzar debo aclarar que la dirección que aparece en Expedia no es la dirección correcta en la cual se va ha hospedar . Después de viajar 10 horas y dirigirme a esta dirección mi familia y yo tuvimos que caminar con maletas 20 minutos por el centro de Madrid hasta llegar a la dirección correcta la cual no tiene nada que ver con las fotos que muestran en Expedia .
Tuve problemas con la calefacción y traté de contactarlos usando la aplicación y no hubo respuesta .
El motivo por el cual decidí rentar este apartamento es porque viajaba con familia y niños y quería poder lavar la loza , poder tener una cocina etc el apartamento NO está Preparado para eso hubiera sido una mejor elección un hotel , el precio fue excesivo y el apartamento no tenía las condiciones para el precio que pagamos .
No volvería a rentar una experiencia horrible !

The advantages:
- good location near Puerto del Sol
- reasonable price
Challenging aspects:
- the room was quite small and did not match the photos much
- the best days of the room were already behind
- the sounds and conversations of the hall, staircase and courtyard are heard very well in the room
- the elevator is very small and does not go all the way up
- the room key card did not work on the lower door at all and despite our requests it could not be made to work.
Overall, I would say that the apartment is suitable for a short stay if the location is important. I do not recommend it for families with children or older people. I personally don't plan to come again (with the same money, I'm sure you'll find a better alternative).

While the apartment was okay, there was no tea making facility with no jug and no coffee or tea bag’s. The room was small. It was quite noisy until late every night however there are some that might be okay with that. The reception were not particularly friendly. Boendet ligger väldigt bra och centralt i Madrid. Det är inte så lättillgängligt för äldre, då taxi ej kan köra ända fram och det är branta och ojämna trappor som man måste gå i för att ta sig till hissen (ca10-15 steg innan hissen och ca 10 efter)
Frukosten är över förväntan och det finns förse trevliga restauranger precis utanför dörren.
Sängarna är sköna och personalen trevlig.
I lägenheten vi hade (3 bäddar) fanns bara ett litet takfönster. Den låg längst upp i huset. Inget ljud utifrån trots att det är en livlig gata, men väldigt lyhört till de andra två lägenheterna på våningen.
Kändes lite osäkert ur brandsynpunkt att bo längst upp och bara en smal trappa ner och inga fönster.

Overpriced for what it is. Our room looked nothing like the picture. Kitchen was basically in a closet and the bathroom was so dark even with the light on. Breakfast included at the restaurant downstairs was just ok. A/C was strong. Good location - a few mins from Puerta de Sol. The hotel is inconvenient in that there is only a tiny elevator on the 2nd floor so you need to carry your luggages up there first and then only 1 person 1 luggage fit in the elevator at a time. Also, the lights in the stairwell frequently shut off and the steps are uneven and dangerous. I did not appreciate that when I paid with my credit card, the machine gives you the option to be charged in Euros or CAD. The reception forced me to choose CAD which includes an up charge in the conversion rate. It ended up costing me an extra $50 which was irritating. Would not recommend.
