Great hotel, lovely pool and beach.

Stunning. Luxury. Most helpful staff.

We stayed for a week and absolutely loved it! The resort is in a great location with easy walking access to nearby restaurants or shops, if you want an alternative to the in-resort dining. It is also in a slightly quieter area of Lamai, which is what we wanted. Our airport transfers were seamless, the room was very clean, and the room access to the pool was fantastic! Highly suggest booking the pool access suite. The staff were very helpful and friendly - felt sad to leave them. Thank you Tam, May, Khoon, Man, Sea, etc (inclusive of every encounter we had at the resort) for being so warm and welcoming! I highly recommend this resort to unwind and enjoy the beautiful Koh Samui. We cant wait to come back!

Vi bodde på hotellet i 10 dager og hadde et veldig fint og avslappende opphold. Hotellet fremstår som rent og velholdt, med romslige rom og komfortable senger. Treningsrommet var også et klart pluss, med behagelig temperatur og vann tilgjengelig. Personalet var alltid imøtekommende og hjelpsomme, og bidro til en hyggelig og uformell atmosfære gjennom hele oppholdet. Frokosten hadde et godt og variert utvalg, og restauranten serverte god mat til priser som var helt på linje med restaurantene i området rundt. Da vi var der, var det rolig på hotellet, og vi opplevde aldri problemer med å finne ledige solsenger. Bassenget var rent og holdt en behagelig temperatur. Stranden rett ved hotellet er derimot langgrunn og ikke spesielt godt egnet for bading, noe som er greit å være klar over ved booking. Beliggenheten er ellers veldig god, med rundt 20 minutters rolig spasertur til sentrum med et bredt utvalg av restauranter og butikker, samt kort vei til både 7-11 og apotek. Alt i alt et veldig godt hotellvalg for deg som ønsker en rolig og komfortabel ferie, med god service og fin beliggenhet. Vi reiser gjerne tilbake.

Our ocean front suite was wonderful. Staff were good and helpful. Beach was dirty Breakfast was chaotic as there were limited seats and staff

The photo I was sent on my confirmation for a king suite pool access was in fact an ocean front room and that was what I was expecting - what we got was a room where the only place to sit was on the bed - there was nothing KING about it or a suite as I know it - we have been to many 5 star resorts and this left us disappointed. I tried to upgrade and we were told they were full except 2 rooms around us were empty and I have no idea what else was - we did offer to pay. I will not be booking with Hotels.com again as I feel the booking was misrepresented in terms of the photo which was nothing like our room. Juliane

Incredible!! One of the best hotel experiences for us. Private pool was much bigger than expected, the accomendation is gorgeous! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Couldn’t recommend more highly! Also the beach that he hotel backs onto is stunning!

Mycket bra service och fina rum. Dock var hotellets restaurang inte bra. Maten var inte god, smakade knappt något och för det priset man betalar (både för hotellet samt maten på menyn förväntar) man sig mycket mer. Restaurangen var inte heller särskilt mysig.

Little dated

There is no coffemachine in the room. The restaurant does not have decent coffe machine. There are not enpugh beach umbrellas so there is no shade. Had to visit other beach. Really bad breakfast. On one noght the entire reataurant closed with any info to us. They also charged 1500 tbh for an extra bed, which didnt fit in the room. Very limited vegetarian options in restaurant. At most a 3-star hotel.

Fremragende sted med en super lækker spa afdeling. Meget professionelt og sødt personale. Det regnede noget af tiden vi var der, men på sådan et sted gjorde det ikke så meget, da værelserne indbød til at man blot kunne nyde sit ophold alligevel.

Spotless rooms, amazing food, best bed ever! The outstanding service and fantastic location. I loved the hotel, especially the second floor terrace with the day sofa bed. I would definitely recommend this hotel for romantic gateway or for sole travelers looking for luxury and solitude.

This was my third time staying at this hotel and I was very pleased to find nothing had changed in the last 8 years as it's gone from being Le Meridien to The Lamai. Staff are extremely helpful, friendly and professional at all times and keep the whole resort immaculately maintained. Hotel reception use WhatsApp to make arrangements and updates hassle free - whether arranging transfers, updating on events around the hotel, or general queries. I stayed in a room a tier up from the type with a shared pool I'd stayed in before - the Pool Villa granted me my own (circa 6m sq) pool, 2 loungers and an shaded seating area with ceiling fan. As a smaller boutique resort it was lovely and peaceful, whilst I don't think it's formally adult only, it feels refined and mature. Getting into the heart of Lamai is a short (1-2km) walk, and can mostly be done along the beach. Taxis and scooter taxi can be easily booked via the Grab app, with a scooter turning up in a typical 3mins and fare to the centre no more than 60baht. The hotel recommended a hire company which I hired my own scooter from for the duration of the stay and the ring road makes exploring the island and it's sights easy - you can easily get into more rural hilly areas within 15mins ride from the hotel. I really enjoyed the tranquility of my two week stay and I didn't want to leave (must ensure my next stay doesn't have an 8 year gap)

Bel établissement en bord de plage. La Villa vue océan avec piscine privée est trés agréable. Transat et parasol pour se proteger du soleil. Service en chambre excellent. Certains plats sont délicieux. Trés bon petit-déjeuner avec une jolie vue. Personnel trés présent et serviable.

We absolutely loved staying in The Lamai. The staff were wonderful and friendly and the hotel is in a tranquil and beautiful setting. The restaurant does delicious food for a very reasonable price.
