Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge

Bei 3 Nächten kein Zimmer gemacht. Personal war sehr unmotiviert, Restaurant war schmutzig und sehr unfreundlich. 2 Wochen vor Saisonende kaum mehr etwas verfügbar.

Very spacious and comfortable room. Managed to get a reduced rate deal at $110 per night for a double room for 2 people.

Loved it!

Our stay was nice as far as facilities and grounds are concerned. The food was really disappointing. One of us had the salmon dinner and the rice side was over cooked and tasteless while the salmon portion was quite small for the price charged. One of us had the cheese burger dinner which should have been easy to do. However, the bread was dry and they only put a small spot of dressing on the bread.

Wir waren 3 Nächte im Hotel, das Zimmer wurde nie gemacht. Am 1. Abend im Restaurant, der Tisch war klebrig - sehr unangenehm. Der grösste Teil der Karte war nicht verfügbar, weil in 2 Wochen das Hotel schliesst. Am 1. Morgen, Frühstück um 08.20 war beim Buffet kaum mehr etwas verfügbar, wir wurden an die Bar verwiesen. Dort war niemand, wir sind schliesslich nach einigem warten ohne Frühstück gestartet. Das Personal ist zu einem grossen Teil sehr unmotiviert und zeigt einem sehr deutlich, dass wir nicht willkommen sind.

Knowing now that this property is owned by Princess cruises, and caters to cruise passengers first, I would never stay here again. I requested a king bed, but they would not accommodate me even though I made our reservation months ago. The one shining star was the little gal working the gift shop. She was very sweet!

Didn’t get to stay. Reservations were made in April 2024 for two night. A week before the reservation they canceled it. A few days before the second night was canceled for a bus tour, hope the people enjoyed our room!!!!

Absolutely beautiful location. However, when we checked in we were offered zero information on amenities, activities, or dining. We wandered around the place and ate at the bar. Our server, a younger dark haired tall gentleman (with some tattoos), was just perfect. We witnessed the other server high pressure selling everything he could from more drinks to dessert and felt like that was annoying just to be in earshot of it. He was loud. But we loved our server and I think he should be in management. All in all except for our server I felt like with the other staff that we didn’t exist. The hotel is located in a pretty spot. Watch out for the frost heave driving up! Also that hill must be fun in the winter. We also ran into quite a lot of hungry mosquitoes on the little nature trail, so be prepared for that.

Abbiamo scelto questa struttura perchè, di fatto, è l'unica del genere in zona. L'albergo è datato e lo si nota soprattutto negli arredi delle camere che onestamente potrebbero essere rimodernate un pochino. Il check in non è stato dei migliori: di 2 ragazzi presenti nessuno ci considerava (c'eravamo solo noi) e dopo che ci siamo avvicinati la ragazza è sata risoluta e sbrigativa. Assolutamente non cortese e non empatica. Le camerwe sono grandi, ma NON è presente nè microonde, nè bollitore e nemmeno il frigorifero.La colazione NON è compresa nella (già alta) tariffa. E' disponibile al primo piano un distributore di ghiaccio. Tutto qui. Note positive il contesto esterno, molto bello, e la pulizia. Sottolineo poi che abbiamo trascorso 2 notti e non ci hanno nemmeno rifatto la camera. Richiesti chiarimenti, ci è stato risposto che il servizio deve essere richiesto (?????) e che avremmo dovuto aver trovato questa indicazione in camera. Cosa assolutamente non vera: in camera non c'era nulla. Insomma, non consiglierei questa struttura per la cifra pagata (oltre 240 € a notte!), oppure valutate quanto ho scritto per poi decidere.

Great location with amazing views and facilities. Limited dining choices and the restaurant was understaffed - they warned us before ordering that it could take up to an hour to get our food.

Great place to stay on the way to Wrangell-St. Elias national park. Clean, fast wifi, with restaurants on site making it easy to find something to eat in this remote part of Alaska. Property is owned by Princess Cruises but guests do not have to be part of the cruise in order to stay here. Tip: Book directly with Kennicott Shuttle if trying to take a day trip to visit the national park. Princess offers the same excursion, but charges more and uses the exact same company.

Very good and warm place in the middle of the forest with various possibilities to go to St Elias Park.

Front desk person started pounding on our door so hard I thought there was an emergency about an hour after we checked in. She then barged in the door before I could get to it and shoved a brochure at me. I’ve never had anybody enter a room that I was staying in before. There is not an electric door at the entrance so when you’re pushing a luggage cart out the door, there is no staff that helps, they were very discourteous and just gather to talk to each other.

We enjoyed this location!
