Quality Inn & Suites New Hartford - Utica

Very clean polite

We rented two rooms. 1 room had the bathroom door kitchen in, leaks from ceiling, and bad smelling sheets. The other room the toilet was so close to “accessible” shower it seemed combined, bathroom was dingy, but the door did not lock securely and had lock had duct tape on it

The staff at the front desk was very friendly. There are many updates, but the property and amenities seemed dated. Other guests were quite loud past 11 pm and many people were congregating in the halls and the parking lot of the building. However, it was fine for a quick one-night stay.

Easy and clean!

Stayed there for a wrestling tournament, lobby looked great. The room was ok and cozy. One huge problem was the teenagers that stayed and had their own rooms didn't feel safe. They house immigrants there, which are in and out all night, my room was next to one of the exit doors which slammed all hours of the night. When i looked out the window to see what appeared to be drug use and sale. One of the rooms the door locks were broken so they barricaded the door. One hallway had blood on one part of the hallway wall. Would look for somewhere different next time.

It was clean and quiet

There is no elevator. My tub was leaking into the room beneath me and they had to move my room… I left my jacket in the previous room as I was moved in a hurry and no one was going to tell me until I called the front desk looking for it days later. It took days into my stay before the driveway was actually fully plowed and shoveled. There is a limited breakfast, the property is clean and the staff are friendly. It does the job for the price and there is a strip of major stores and restaurants only 4 min away.

The bed has a metal sheet box spring guard frame.When climbing up to the bed ,your foot would hit the sheet guard frame and it would male terrible sound. We stayed two nights and couldn't get quality sleep,unsure if it was the mattress or the bedding sheets.

The hotel was on the older side, but it was very clean and the staff were friendly. I did not use them but there was a workout room and a laundry room. The room was a good size, and I appreciated the refrigerator and microwave, as well as the blackout curtains. However, the bed was pretty uncomfortable. It was a firm mattress on a metal frame, which also gave me an electric shock on more than one occasion and made a loud clanging sound if you touched the sides at all. I also would have appreciated more outlets by the bed, or ones that were not covered up by the bedside tables. The free breakfast was a nice touch, although the eggs were pretty bland and watery. The Expedia site said a $150 cash deposit was required, but they ended up charging my credit card for that and didn't give me an idea of when I could expect a refund. Overall, a fine place to stay overnight.

Clean facility and nice staff.

Clean comfortable, well lit parking area. Hot breakfast not just doughnuts and bagels. Would stay again if in the area.

The rooms were nice. In the halls the smell of cooking with curry was very strong

Ok for price

The lobby and general aesthetic of the hotel was really nice and I think everything looked lovely. My hotel room even had a living room and a bedroom while paying a very reasonable fee for the hotel. But that's where the good things about the hotel end. While I appreciate the lovely design of the hotel at first glance, they completely failed on the most important aspect of a hotel, which is comfort. The beds were as hard as the floor and slanted downwards slightly. They were also really loud. If you move too much or tap the frame it sounds like closing the metal door on a U-Haul storage unit. I was completely unable to sleep on the bed and it even ended up hurting my back. The pillows were so soft I felt like my head was directly on the mattress. The bathroom was hilariously small and the toilet had grime on it. The channels didnt match the guide for tv. Ultimately I was unable to stay in the hotel for the 2 days I booked and had to leave in the middle of the night for a different hotel and cancel everything. I truly feel it's a shame because they have a wonderful building and decor going for them and if they had better beds and took more care focusing on comfort this could be a really nice place to stay. For now I have no choice to give 1 star as to me it was unstayable.

While the hotel looks close to the highway it is not. The rooms were dirty and smelled of mold.

Our stay was 3 nights. The price was great. The room was large. People who worked there were so helpful and very nice.
