自然がいっぱい感じられるホテルでポッサムや鳥に会いました。 到着した初日にドアノブが壊れていましたが、こちらからリクエストもしてないにも関わらず、翌日には修復してありました。良いホテルだと思います。

室内の冷蔵庫の音が大きく気になった。エアコンの風がちょうど枕元に当たる位置で仕方なく消して寝た。 スタッフの感じは良かったが、早朝のフライトのために予約したタクシーが、一足先にチェックアウトした他の宿泊客に乗られてしまったため、予定時間より15分余計に待つことに。スタッフが予約者の名前を確認するなどの管理をしてほしい。

The “Delax room” is clean and spacious, and the restaurant was great! We had coconut prawns with mango and rocket salad, and burger. Both were great.

部屋は、綺麗で快適。 レストランで食べた海老の天ぷら、ラムは、とても美味しかった。ワインも美味しかった。その為か、レストランもバーもとても混みあっていた。 ゲスト用のランドリーマシンもある。 プールは、大人用と子ども用があり、広い。 従業員の対応も親切で良い。

Room very clean, staff in the bar were extremely efficient and helpful.

I had an awesome stay at the Mercure Hotel in Townsville! From the moment I arrived, everything felt welcoming and well-organised. The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely happy to help, which made the experience even better. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a long day. I especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the well-maintained facilities. The pool area is a great bonus, ideal for unwinding, and the overall layout of the hotel feels calm and resort-like. The location is also super convenient, with easy access to Townsville city and surrounding areas. Whether you’re staying for work, leisure, or a short getaway, the Mercure really delivers on comfort and quality. Overall, an excellent experience—definitely a place I’d recommend and happily stay at again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Room was okay condition, needed a good clean. No hot water for 2 days but weather was hot so cold showers didn’t really hurt us. Shower mixer/tap was broken, TV remote wouldn’t work (needed new batteries), aircon had an annoying slight noise. Rooms could do with an upgrade. Brought $25 buffet breakfast deal for entire stay but had to tell staff every morning as there was no communication between reception and restaurant in which we had to wait for confirmation. Overall the resort style gardens were nice, restaurant staff were lovely.

Not a palace but comfortable. Rooms let the hotel down for us, bath leaked, ants on the walls, furniture dated. All very liveable if you’re not fussy but it did let down the hotel. Bed however were clean and comfy. Breakfast and restaurant was good. Pool and surrounds well maintained. Overall we would stay again but bedrooms really could do with some TLC.

Staff at reception was super excellent and helpful.

The air conditioner wasn't as good as I thought it would be and the back door to the back patio was stuck, other than those two things it was a pleasant stay at Mercure.

Very spread out, more like a resort. Stairs to most rooms, toilet seat was yellow and very very old, made the whole bathroom seem dated. The whole place needs a full renovation, will definitely be going back to Palmer Street precinct and only use the Mercure as a last resort and I am an ALL Gold member.

This property was advertised with photos of well appointed bathrooms. However in reality the showe0r was in an old style bath tub, not friendly to mature guests. Our room was on the second floor with only wooden stair access, not made clear in any photos or advertisement. The housekeeping staff were engaging & friendly but the reception staff gave no acknowledgement when guests pass reception desk either entering or departing premises unless directly approached. I felt that good money was paid for substandard accommodation. It was very disappointing.

Everything it needed to be for our stay.
