New hotel in a great location with polite and enthusiastic staff. I’d stay again.

Incredibly clean facilities. Great location. Parking was a bit of a pain so we opted for the valet at $25 which made things much more convenient. The brekky was one of the highlights and a complete smorgasbord of food options. Great views of the wharf and downtown region.

Nice hotel with good views. Didn’t like the buffet breakfast, hot breakfast wasn’t hot at all

This time we stayed and it wasn’t great. They know 3 of us stay in room and each day cleaner only put 2 towels. We had to approach front receptionist to request more towels. On 3rd day - cleaners forgot to come and clean our room. We had to approach receptionist to get it cleaned. They did clean it but still 2 towels so we looked at cleaner and said it’s 3 of us so she added one more towel. They did not check shampoo and shower gel bottles - they ran out and we let receptionist know. They did not restock it until we departed. Hotel room has strong smell through air vent from Asian restaurant in ground floor inside Novotel. They will need to build stronger air vent to avoid smell going up to rooms. It happens during evening time. This is not first time. It happened with earlier stay too. Lovely building and centrally located in Devonport town. Accessible to bus and shops.

Nice room, quiet and comfortable

Room and amenities clean and fresh. Location central. Parking by valet service slightly inconvenient compared to having car close by but worked well.

The hotel was good, for 2 adults and 2 children I thought the room was rather small. Only a small table and two chairs wasn't sufficient for us eating in the room.

Breakfast was above excellent. It lacks absolutely nothing. The hotel and room are clean and well updated. The front desk staff was also very friendly. The parking situation (in my opinion) is subpar. There is no option for free self parking. You either have to pay an outrageous $25/night for valet or pay city rates for off site parking. Please reduce the price of parking on site (whether it's valet or self park) to make it more reasonable and realistic.

We loved our room. It was a corner room with balcony overlooking the mouth of the Mersey River. We were able to watch the Spirit of Tasmania enter and dock- pretty impressive. However why is there a massive TV in front of the magnificent windows as the TV blocks your view?
