The proprietor Milton was a superb host and would do anything to make us happy. Delicious breakfast, showing us the highlights of the city and very caring!

El anfitrión fue fantástico. No solo estuvo pendiente de todo sino que telefoneó para reservame un lugar en un minibus a Veliko Tarnovo. Si no hubiese reservado posiblemente habría perdido el transporte por falta de plazas. Prácticamente en el centro histórico y muy cerca de la parte nueva

Koselig vert, som var flink til å vise oss hva vi burde se, og hvor vi skulle gå. Vi kunne også beholde rommet så lenge vi ønsket ved utsjekking. Litt dårlig utvalg til frokost.

The host, Mitko, went out of his way to accommodate me. He made sure I was parked in a good place right at the old town boundary. Mitko gave me a quick introduction to the lay of the land in Plovdiv, pointing out the best sights and restaurants. He also gave an orientation of the room. Breakfast was pretty much a customized individual order, an omelette on day one and french toast on day two. The room was very comfortable in early October with screened windows open and no need for AC. The second floor room received ample hot water after letting the water run for a minute. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant stay in Plovdiv.

This hotel is unsafe. The owner requested that he be paid in cash for the full stay; however, ATMs in Bulgaria do not allow large enough withdrawals at one time to pay the full amount requested. When we did not pay immediately upon arrival because we did not have enough cash, the host, Mitko, locked my family into the hotel and called the police. This was frightening for the children and completely unnecessary since we had assured him that we would pay and he had our passports as security. This was a very serious breach of safety.

The host was very nice. Very personable service catered to our needs. Exceptional breakfast!

Best thing about stay was Mitko, our host. Excellent information about town and Bulgaria. Best we’ve encountered. Cooked special local breakfasts. Room simple with all you need and good bathroom. Bed firm and no decor but restaurant recommendations etc enhanced our trip. Well travelled interesting man.

Unsere Aufenthalt im Roots (Korni) Hotel was von Anfang an und bis zum Ende sehr entspannt und freidlich. Der besitzer Mitko hat uns wie alte Freunde empfangen - herzlich, zuvorkommend, hat sehr viele gute Tipps gegeben, uns sehr zufrieden alles in allem gemacht. Schönes frisch renoviertes sauberes Zimmer, grosse saubere Dusche, ruhig, sicher, einfach sehr sehr erholend.Am Rand von alten Stadt - sehr gut gelegen. Uns hat an gar nichts gefehlt. Immer wieder gerne!

Roots hotel is a clean and comfortable place to stay, just a stone throw away from Plovdiv historic centre. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but the owner Mitko is reason alone to book a room at this hotel. Mitko is the perfect host; - Does everything to ensure his guests are comfortable - Makes a great breakfast - Helps with parking - Great tips for destinations to see in Plovdiv, and Bulgaria in general. Also If you are in to wine, ask him for wine tips or to buy a bottle. He is a sommelier. He is also an interesting conversation partner. We had a wonderful stay.

Gran acogimiento y ayuda por parte del encargado Mitko. Estupendo desayuno. Muy céntrico a poca distancia de todo.

+ Oprecht vriendelijke en uiterst behulpzame gastheer + Heerlijk en toegesneden ontbijt met zeer lekkere koffie + Gunstige ligging t.o.v. het centrum + Comfortabele kamer en bed + Prijs/kwaliteit dik in orde - Oogt hier en daar een beetje gedateerd (met charme)

The owner Mitko is very kind person. He is sommelier with a wealth of knowledge about wines. I highly recommend visiting the hotel and ordering a wine tasting. Everything was fine, we had an amazing time.

Wonderful little boutique hotel right at the edge of Old Town Plovdiv. Can't say enough about how friendly and helpful the owner is.
