Very close to Liverpool Lime Street station. The room may feel old, but it is quaint and there is no problem. They also kept our luggage after check-in. Please note that Wi-Fi is charged.

Went to the online checkin counter and was told rather sternly to stand by the Christmas tree while one guest in front of me was being served. Lots of guests then arrived and queued behind the first guest. Being in the hospitality industry, I expected the staff to call me and serve me next, but sadly, no. I did just brush this off, but the hotel did feel unwelcoming and I'm not planning on staying in any Britannia hotel anytime soon.

Do not believe the pictures showing nice rooms. The real rooms are tiny and cramped. The bed was very uncomfortable. We left after half an hour and booked a different hotel instead. Bloody awful, avoid at all costs.

The location and breakfast were great however, the room was severely lacking and for the price I paid I damn well expect there to be running hot water for a shower and a comfortable bed to sleep in. The beds mattress was thin and very uncomfortable. The bathroom looks amazing however no hot water is just pathetic and quite frankly embarrassing. I will not be staying again.

Breakfast needs sealed yoghurts & fresh fruit choices not tinned fruit ( do not like open food for people to cough or sneeze over ) should be covered . Otherwise it was ok Whole hotel very grand , a lot of areas unused & shut off - the only time we saw any guests was at breakfast otherwise not a soul . Having said that it was warm & quiet which we like as we were out & about all day . Liverpool was wonderful & we enjoyed our stay

Building nice. But the bed was the worst thing I have ever ever tried to sleep on. We mentioned it after night one and got ‘why didn’t you ring during the night’, I’m 73 years old and feel like I’ve been kicked about. Honestly terrible. the floor outside the room remained dirty for the 2 nights with napkins and rubbish. And the smell of damp and urine was horrendous.

Check in was chaotic due to the number of people checking in at the same time,
Room as poor, bedroom was dark, windows disgusting, mattress rock hard. Bed was 2 bases pushed together horizontally.
Bathroom looked like it had been refurbed & was OK with complimentary toiletries.
I appreciate this is an old building but regular maintenance would stop mould on windows. Carpet looked like it had been cut with nail clippers & not fitted properly.
Breakfast was fine, very busy due to size of hotel & number of guests but pretty well stocked & plenty of choice.
Not one memebr of staff looked happy & communication with them wasnt plentiful, just a grunt here & there when asked where juices were.
Not what i would expect for £200 a night!!
