Decent

The room was cold, heater not working and run down. We were change to another room because it was so cold and the new room a bit better but still had issues like broken phone to contact front desk.

Nice old hotel our room had two lamps for lighting and one of the lamps didn’t work,asked for a room with a bath but there was no plug,the bathroom door and paintwork were filthy,the sink had a coating of scum on it , could do with a deep clean ,but the hotel is centralised so was happy to put up with the faults

Always stay here when on boozy night in Liverpool, if you've been on 4 in a bed and you go round looking under the bed and pulling the shower apart the place may not be for you, but it suits me. Comfy bed, rooms warm and cleanish. With 2 bars downstairs and most importantly these days it's cheap. What more do you want.

Given a room near lift as im disabled had a great nights sleep reception very helpful and friendly thank-you

Having checked in and paid in full on line in advance as requested by the hotel with the promise of express check in. When I arrived to check in at 3pm I was left standing at the "express" check desk for 12 minutes being totally ignored by the three members of staff who were checking in the other customers in the non express queue.

Lovely old hotel with a lot of character, clean, great location.

I was charged £2.50 tax 4 times for a 1 night stay...

No internet in my bedroom. No cleaning for a five-day stay, not even trash removal or replenishment of clean cups and coffee/tea supplies. Every time I requested fresh mugs and suppliesat rhe front desk

The room was lovely and clean, lovely modern shower, breakfast was good. Room on third floor was quiet. Bed was comfy. Loved the Edwardian architecture in the public areas. Staff helpful. Hotel in a great area close to Christmas markets

Room was basic and there was rubbish left under the bed from previous guests, only lighting was two small bedside lamps which had been smashed up. Bed was very uncomfortable. Unbelievably noisy, karaoke until the early hours (sounded like it was coming from somewhere inside the hotel?), woken in the middle of the night by a deafening smoke alarm because other guests were smoking indoors, people that weren't staying at the hotel hanging around in corridors (presumably for warmth?). Overall I was uncomfortable and felt unsafe. Wouldn't stay again.

Great location near station but hotel needs updating. Bathrooms better than bedrooms. Windows don’t close and wear and tear and old fashioned hotel. Security staff and some reception were great ( Sat night/ Sunday am) although Oskar was very grumpy at check-in and abrupt in responding to basic questions - can I leave my luggage. Response of course in a rather condescending way.
