Room was very basic but get what you pay for. Ideal really only if you need plan to sleep here only and not really need it for anything else. Bath wasn’t very hot at all not even warm. Bed and bedding was comfy and clean. Staff were so unhelpful and received multiple conflicting information. Yeah was only in the room for a few hours after Silverstone each night and was adequate for what I needed but importantly better than my last stay at this hotel

Maria on the reception desk was really rude and unhelpful!! A girl that had only been at the hotel a couple of weeks was much better!! Breakfast was really good, well cooked not greasy and a good selection, Maria did let the other staff and the hotel down completely

The entrance looked like a bomb had gone off with cracked flooring and broken tiles. The staff were quite short and snappy and they threw the key card at me . The lifts were old and one was broken. There was no signage to say which way to go except when you get out the lift. The room was small dirty and the mattress was very hard and lumpy with 2 small pillows. Apparently they had a power cut the night before so had a generator outside running all night. Then there was the noise coming from the room next to me sounding like.metal clanging ALL NIGHT . Didn't sleep.a wink between the metal clanging and the generator. The tap in the bathroom wouldnt turn off until you lean on it to push the washer into the tap.otherwise it would run all night. No air con and only 1 spare socket in the room. All the sockets were filthy and also around the skirting board. The mirror in the bathroom had what looked like blood all around the frame. I didn't even dare to touch the shower. The widow fame was filthy. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

The room was a bit dated but was reasonably clean. The breakfast was not amazing but not awful.

I will never be returning. Try to make a complaint with no reply. Staff were incredibly rude (my security guard) Beds were so uncomfortable Don’t book

- Requires physical ID to check in (trivago didn’t inform us of this) - Rude and argumentative staff that unnecessarily school you on their policies about said ID - Toilet not bolted to the floor. Attempting a number 2 turned into a ‘Slip ‘n’ Slide’ sort of event - Cracked and very sad looking sink in the bathroom - Generally not very well looked after But if you’re looking for rude, just a little bit grubby, yet admittedly cheap… would 100% recommend

Having been warned away from this hotel by some horror stories from people I know, I was pleasantly surprised with the room and the staff. The hotel itself is tired, but well located. I have paid a lot more to stay in a lot worse!

There’s no car parking, you have to go pay at a car park around and the reception staff was rude and impatient. The security could not be bothered. To make matters worse, the shower in my room wasn’t working.

Everything was how I expected at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

The room was not clean . There was no wifi , when i asked the receptionist they were help less and told me that we can’t do anything with that . And no room service for 3 days . And the bed was not clean i got allergies after sleeping with that . And got rashes issues all over the body . I won’t recommend to stay here.

Room clean and bed comfortable. Good sleep. Housekeeping staff were very helpful. Broadband signal was very weak.

The location is very central. Few minutes walk to the transport museum, cathedral and shops. About 15 minute walk from the station. The hotel lobby, reception, lifts, corridors etc were all clean. The room was very clean and spacious. Only dirty thing was the outside of the windows which were filthy. I didn’t use the bar or eat in the restaurant. There’s plenty of places to eat out or get a takeaway on the doorstep and a big Sainsbury’s on the corner. I was out all day so I ate wherever I was and just bought a meal deal from the supermarket for the evening. I arrived early and was able to drop my case off which was tagged and locked in a room. So I was able to go and explore without dragging it around which was good. Staff were fine, not overly jolly like some hotels but let’s face it that’s just acting and anyway I wasn’t trying to make friends with them! They did their job so that was fine with me. They do ask for photo ID, I had my driving licence so no problem. I travelled by train, the hotel is on a busy road so I don’t know where you’d park if you drove. I read the reviews after I’d booked and was a bit concerned but I can honestly say everything was fine as far as I was concerned. I wasn’t looking for luxury, it’s a fair price for a good location, everywhere was clean and tidy, nothing fancy but nothing wrong with it either. If you just want a clean central place to stay that close to all the main attraction it’s a good choice. Don’t be put off by others reviews.

Staff was not helpful at all. Breakfast was not good for vegetarians. No room service! No onsite parking. Paid £11/ for nearest parking.

A particular staff ( don’t know her name) at the reception was very unfriendly, unhelpful and dismissive

It was my 1st ever time staying at a Britannia hotel and I felt I didn't get value for money from what I'd paid to stay overnight because breakfast buffet wasn't included, which was disappointing. However, I felt I got a decent price for a very spacious double room with a nice view of Coventry city centre and I'd definitely consider staying at a Britannia hotel again if breakfast was included in the price instead of being quoted £24 to have breakfast added to the cost of staying overnight

Great location city centre right next to cathedrals. It’s a 1960s concrete building like many of Coventry’s buildings. Large room, very clean and bright. I was very happy staying here.

The location of the property is good. However, the staff doesn't understand anything from customer service. They don't know how to treat you. Another problem is that they always close their entrace gate, and when you ring the door, you have wait for minutes for the door to be opened despite they see you outside.
