デルタ ホテルズ ダーラム ロイヤル カウンティ

City Centerから近く、マリオットのロゴが目立ち分かりやすい所にある。白い外観で爽やかな印象。ただエントランスが分かりにくく、駐車場を入った奥にあった。部屋はとても綺麗だった。バスタブが付いてないと思っていたが私の部屋にはあったので嬉しく入浴でとてもリラックスできた。またwifiも有料とネットにあったがfree-wifiは無料で利用できた。朝食はバイキングだが種類が少ないし野菜がないのがちょっと残念だった。総合して場所と清潔さはとても良い。

4泊しました。２日目に外出から戻ったら部屋が掃除されていませんでした。問い合わせたら、人手不足で2日おきにしか掃除をしないとのこと。ホテルコムには毎日清掃と約束されていたので、心外でした。 チェックインの時にも、そういう説明はありませんでした。こういう変更は、事前に、客に伝えるべきだと思います。(そのように文句を言ったら、４日目は清掃無しでなく清掃が入りました) ティッシュペーパーが切れても補充がなく、補充が無い理由に、マネージャーが再び「人手不足」「トラックの便の減少」をあげましたので不満足でした。 足りなければ日本ならマネジャー自らスーパーで買ってくると思います。あるいは人手不足でサービスが充分に出来ないのであれば、料金を割り引くべきです。 アメニティも清掃も部屋の料金の一部です。いろんな事情があるのなら、予約前に明らかにすべきです。 部屋そのものは広くて静かで清潔で、とても快適だったので、残念に思いました。

Stayed for Christmas shopping, shops disappointing but the hotel more than made up for it. All staff we interacted with were welcoming, smiley and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful and our evening meal in the restaurant was lovely. Bonus was the parking and late check out. Would definitely stay again if in that area.

Excellent room and service but still got a parking fine even though I registered. Will stay again.

Great stay as always

Good overall

Great room really nice overall good hotel Only negative went down for breakfast and cooked was not very hot. On last day after I had my food wither said to someone else would you like omelette or porridge. I would have chosen this. Otherwise very good will be back. handy for restaurants

Lovely staff, nice room and great location. Easy paid parking and a nice breakfast.

Staff couldn't be more helpful. Room was perfect. Hotel in ideallic situ for our city break.

Service was impeccable. The shower facilities were excellent too - overall a lovely stay.

Nice hotel in central Durham

Clean, Friendly service and food was good. Would recommend.

Room and staff in the hotel were excellent, very friendly and approachable. The reason I have not given 5 stars was our experience at the restaurant, we waited for over an hour just for our starters, actually left before main arrived as we had been sitting in the restaurant for over 90 minutes which was not acceptable. We did speak to the catering manager and reception. We were told that there was a big group upstairs for an event, however this should have been accounted for and not affect regular diners in the restaurant. To end on a positive, we would come back to this hotel because location was perfect, amenities good and attitude of staff was really good and very welcoming.

Rooms comfortable and clean, staff on reception, bar and restaurant were fantastic. Hotels in a great location, car parking can be a bit of a challenge.

Have stayed here a few times as both our boys are at Durham Uni. Lovely but expensive (for us) hotel, usually use Tesco vouchers to keep cost down. Stayed one night during Lumiere. Disappointed that only one bath towel in bathroom (two of us staying), shower gel bottle was empty, and husband waited ages and had to ask twice for his omelette at breakfast. All other stays have been fine.

Lovely room overlooking the river. Very friendly welcome at reception. All staff in housekeeping and the hotel bar were exceptionally helpful and efficient.
