Lovely, central hotel. Friendly staff, small car park but we found space no problem. Room not huge but fine for our 1-night stay. We visit city centre several times a year & will definitely stay again

I was here for a brief work stay; however, I found the location really well placed not only to get to my work event but also to have a quick trip into the historical parts of the city to eat and unwind. The staff were lovely and helpful, though a small downside (not the hotel's fault) is that the building is old and has some crazy numbering systems - the first time finding my room was an adventure!

Prior to booking this hotel we specifically called up to ask whether there is air conditioning at this hotel. So imagine our disappointment to discover that the air conditioning did not work properly on one of the hottest days of the year. Not only blow warm air, it was also so noisy that we could not sleep. I complained to reception about this matter who then admitted they had air conditioning issues but managed to find a fan for us. For the price we paid it was a disappointing stay.. we could have stayed at a cheaper hotel with a fan.

Good vicinity Very pleasant helpful staff Accomodation very good Good bar For a 4star hotel I would expect restaurant to be open at night - don't want to eat in a bar Need to look at H&S with showers. Have epilepsy - cannot have a bath. To climb over bath side with no grab handles is not a good idea. Difficult to get the shower working at an acceptable temp. Should have a walk in shower
