Nice room and bathroom but bedside lights not working which was a bit of a pain

Room good and staff great, but my key card wouldn't work on three separate occasions which was a little frustrating.

Excellent position with friendly staff.

Quality of food was a little average for the price and choices limited.

Parking, clean and dog friendly

The staff are impeccable and so welcoming. My small Shih Tzu was treated like royalty. We will be back every time we are back down in Barnsley visiting old friends and family.

Hotel and room clean, staff welcoming and approachable

The hotel is conveniently located just off the motorway and has a decently sized free car park. Booking in was easy and the receptionist was very helpful. The room was clean and the heating was on, which was great as it was cold and miserable outside. The bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. The ensuite was a decent size and it was nice to have handwash and shower gel. Even more important, I think, is that the shower was fantastic with lots of hot water that didn't go cold every few minutes like some places we've stayed. We had a meal in the restaurant on the day we arrived. The food was perfectly OK for the type of hotel it is. You can't expect 5 star cuisine from somewhere that probably doesn't have a full kitchen. Overall a good hotel at a good price. We'll definitely be using it again the next time we visit the area.

Nice hotel

The staff on reception were polite & welcoming. They were the highlight for me by a mile. On several occasions I had to go back down to reception for coffee & milk,as my room had been missed out. The rooms were quite clean & quiet most of the time, but became rather noisy at night with banging & shouting from other guests.

Staff are great , and rooms.

Soft bed thank goodness. Good location food and bar on site. Good bathroom. Warm room with good curtains. Some noise thats expected.
