ibis Styles Barnsley

The staff are impeccable and so welcoming. My small Shih Tzu was treated like royalty. We will be back every time we are back down in Barnsley visiting old friends and family.

The hotel is conveniently located just off the motorway and has a decently sized free car park. Booking in was easy and the receptionist was very helpful. The room was clean and the heating was on, which was great as it was cold and miserable outside. The bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. The ensuite was a decent size and it was nice to have handwash and shower gel. Even more important, I think, is that the shower was fantastic with lots of hot water that didn't go cold every few minutes like some places we've stayed. We had a meal in the restaurant on the day we arrived. The food was perfectly OK for the type of hotel it is. You can't expect 5 star cuisine from somewhere that probably doesn't have a full kitchen. Overall a good hotel at a good price. We'll definitely be using it again the next time we visit the area.

Soft bed thank goodness. Good location food and bar on site. Good bathroom. Warm room with good curtains. Some noise thats expected.
