もっと立地も風情もいいローカルのホテルが海岸線沿いにたくさんあります。せっかくイギリスの田舎のリゾート地に来たのであれば、なにもベストウェスティンで無い方が良い。

Comfy bed & wonderful pillows. Receptionist was lovely when we arrived and said we could park the car while we went to the beach - check in later wasn’t so helpful and there was a parking fee of £10! Aircon was huge plus but the room was very small. It was during the heatwave but no water provided which would have been really welcome. Staff all very friendly and it’s 5 mins to the beach

Parking is an extra £15, not mentioned on Hotels.com , air con in room but has annoying clicking noise every 20secs. Short on staff, reception had to go check room was ready even at 5pm when checking in, and NO evening restaurant.

Very disappointing stay due to lack of facilities, swimming pool was closed, garden closed and padlocked, breakfast veey basic had poor selection. No food served in evening despite having menu in room, seating area of bar in need of deep clean, arms of chairs, curtains and carpet stained and marked, could hardly see out of windows as so filthy and paintwork in need of clean/lick of paint. Towel rail in bathroom boiling hot and very difficult due to height of bath to get in/out. Good point of this hotel is location and the bed waa comfortable. Had onsite parking but has to pay £10 per night for it.

Avoid the dreadful breakfast - save your money to spend elsewhere where the food will be so much better and you won’t then be hungry. I ate there on two days and, whilst I thought the first day was bad enough, the second day was even worse! The cooked breakfast was extremely limited - sausage, beans, scrambled eggs and hash browns (with even no beans the second day) and the ingredients were extremely cheap. At least on the first day there was then some fruit, yogurt, mixed berries, bread, muffins and croissants. On the second day, I had two berry muffins and a bowl of coco pops. Staff were non-existent / hiding on the second day and the atmosphere in the huge hall of the breakfast room was extremely uninviting. No refund on cost of breakfast was forthcoming when I fed back that the offering was poor, just that it would be passed on to the manager. Luckily the bedroom and bathroom, although a little tired and a little dirty in places (stained carpets near desk area probably from hot drinks making), with the bathroom needing some maintenance, were comfortable enough for a stay. Had to put a towel at the bottom of the main door to stop the bright light coming in from the corridor and the banging doors from other main doors into rooms was a little bit much. Unfortunately, I would not stay again / recommend a stay at this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay. The Staff were all very helpful and pleasant.

Good room, good location, but continental breakfast (included in room rate) was so poor. Limited choice and pancakes/pastries were cold and soggy

Overall not a bad place for a short term stay. Paying for the car park is a bit of a bummer, situated about right for our visit to the BIC, short walk. Overall not too bad for the price .

The staff were lovely and helpful. I was also given a room upgrade. I would’ve liked to have had ice on tap and proper hot coffee/tea that was made in house and served at the bar. The breakfast wasn’t the best I’ve seen, but for the price and quality of the accommodation, it did the trick. The hotel was on a nice tree-lined street, about 5-10 mins walk to the beach and 25 mins walk to the centre. A bit more atmosphere in the hotel would be good, for example with music - it seemed quiet but the hotel car park was full, so ideal for people who like quieter environments.

Very disappointed with this stay and far below the standard I would expect from an Ibis hotel. Upon entering the room, I was immediately struck by a strong damp, unpleasant smell that made the room feel unclean. The carpet also felt damp underfoot, which added to the impression that the room was not being properly maintained. The sofa bed provided for my son was unacceptable. The mattress was so thin and worn that the springs could be felt clearly through it, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. I raised these concerns with the manager, Shivya, and asked if she could inspect the room herself so she could see the issues firsthand. She said she would look at it later. I then spoke to another member of staff near reception, who confirmed he was not busy, and asked whether he could inspect the room with me, he said yes he could, however, Shivya stopped him and told me this would not be possible. Despite acknowledging my concerns, I was informed that a refund decision would need to be referred to a senior manager. I was told I would be contacted, but to date I have received no response or follow-up. Overall, I found both the condition of the room and the handling of my complaint disappointing. I would not expect this standard of accommodation or customer service from Ibis.

Terrible experience — the standard of the sofa bed mattress was completely unacceptable. The springs could clearly be felt through the mattress and it did not adequately support the weight of a 7-year-old child. In addition, the air conditioning unit made continuous noise throughout the night, even when switched off. As a result, none of us were able to get any sleep. Shortly after check-in, we tried to raise our concerns about the sofa bed with reception in person, only to find that no one was available. After returning later that evening, we spoke with the night receptionist, but unfortunately they were unable to offer an alternative room or any practical solution. To make matters worse, when we checked out, no resolution, apology, or compensation was offered for what was a very poor and disappointing experience. Overall, this stay fell well below an acceptable standard.

Cheap and cheerful, just don't expect much. The property itself is in pretty bad condition, but I didn't expect five stars!

Good hotel. Shame that the rest of the town is virtually lawless and has gone to the dogs!

Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are very friendly and very helpful Kitchen is clean and excellent breakfast. Boiled eggs addition could be thought of as that option not available. Beach is very close by and within walkable distance. Overall excellent place to satay

Booked 3 rooms from the 1st may - 4th may for family and friends. We’re all in our 40s with children. Absolutely disgusting place, carpet floors are noisy when you walk, it’s 2/10 in cleanliness, we found bees, spiders and centipede in the room and bathroom. Does not smell nice at all. Staff also DO NOT clean the rooms, nor do they change the towels while you stay in. The breakfast is slightly bellow standard but on first day they served expired bacon( it stunk and looked green/moldy) I would not stay here again in a million years even if it was free. Also the swimming pool hasn’t worked in a year, same as other amenities like eletric charger.
