Honestly the staff in this hotel are exemplary. When you walk in the greeting and friendliness are top drawer. Parking no problem and room clean . We booked a river view which was spectacular. Room could do with a few more sockets or charging points perhaps

On the bank of the Tyne the hotel is in a lovely position, friendly helpful staff and a nice clean room although the bathroom is in need of some maintenance ( unsightly black mold around bath and tiles). Small car park.

The hotel car park was full, so had to park on Old Quarry Road, which was a five minute walk. The reception smelled nice and the staff were friendly and quick to serve us. The WiFi was very good. The room view was ok; the building opposite, but not terrible. The room itself was fine, the table was worn and looked tired, the bath was also looking old. The whole room was clean. The air trickle vent was snapped and damaged, this didn’t look great. There should have been some USB ports to use, as opposed to normal plugs. The telly was good, the bed was clean and comfortable and the AC was good. The shower and bath worked well and the kettle and iron were fine but awkward to fill the kettle and the ironing board needs replacing, it’s the lumpiest thing since my grandma’s gravy. The breakfast was ok; tasted fine, I would say start the cleaning cycle on the machine after the guests leave and the latte coffee spirts milk all over, this hurt my hand. The bar was fine, and the snack cupboard also was a nice feature.

I stayed for 3 nights the hotel is tired could be doing with a makeover. They dont open the restraunt at night you have dinner in a bar that can be a bit rowdy not my idea of having dinner. The menu was limited as they said the gas wasnt working. I had stayed here before and they weren't keen to open restraunt after complaints from customers they allowed us to eat there. I definitely wont be back and wouldn't recommend.

We went to wrong hotel same name so missed the dinner explained I have to eat every 2 hours due to a medical condition and phoned previous to let them know we were on our way got there 2 minutes to 9 pm and they were not willing to cook me anything was not well enough to go out to eat so was not impressed surely they could have help so would not recommend this hotel

Good location, right on the Tyne and by the Millennium Bridge, and very good price for the location. Staff were cheerful and helpful. My only comment would be there is not sufficient parking, and the best local car park is a bit of a walk, but that aside, I would stay there again happily

A very nice hotel with facilities and right on the bank of the Tyne river. It was a very hot period and aircon excellent. However sitting outside overlooking the river at very run and rotten tables. My beer almost fell over as the hole was so big. Grass stumps were growing under the table. A little TLC was needed to make it nice to look over to a fabulous city. We loved our 3 night stay

I have stayed at Leonardo in Munich and was hoping for a similar experience. The Gateshead unit was a little more like a budget hotel. Positives Staff were very friendly and helpful - reception, bar and breakfast. Good buffet breakfast Room AC worked well and was a great relief on a really hot day! Good views of the river, scenic Drawbacks Room was a bit tired, rip in curtain, Bathroom was clean but very basic with a wonky toilet seat.

Receptionist on arrival was very helpful and friendly. Nar was reasonably priced for drinks, which considering the location was surprising. This was our 3rd stay, and will be back again for a 4th.
