Good staff

古いけど綺麗にしてあって、立地もよく、安心して泊まれる大好きなホテルです。

Rooms were good , corridors were very shabby but in the process of refurbishment so could be overlooked.. breakfast was very good but quite expensive

Breakfast wasnot good Everything in the buffet waa luke warm at best and overcooked

Such a lovely hotel, full of history, the staff were helpful and perfect location for the historic dockyard

The laundry was a very welcome surprise hower we were visiting family and didnt have time to use the pool

Comfortable spacious room. The breakfast is excellent

The hotel was in a great location to the dockyard and seafront. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts and the evening meals were fantastic.

Pleasant stay.

I asked in advance of my visit if there could be gluten free bread for breakfast (I had pre-booked breakfasts). On the Wednesday the person who greeted me (did not see her Thursday) could not have been more accommodating - she was an excellent representative of the hotel. Breakfast both days was very good and I varied what I ate. Because I got lost on my way back one evening I called in at a pub and had an evening meal there. I was going to eat in the hotel but had no chance. The hotel is far larger than it seems from the front. There were ongoing works in the stairwells which is why I didn't give it a 5 star for decor, but there are signs all over explaining this. I really liked the central compass area, the library the restaurant area all the nods to the maritime themes. I had expected to use the pool but was too late or too tired. The hotel is installing an access ramp. A person in a wheelchair at pavement level asked me as I exited to inform reception to 'let her in'. There is currently some sort of access and I think this woman was local, but a ramp will be an improvement. I slept well, enjoyed the room, used free toiletries and made use of the tea/coffee station, hairdryer and tv. I spent the majority of my time in Portsmouth in the Dockyards so the location was perfect. My only grouch was the disappearance of my cheap plastic shoehorn, shich I brought to help me, was of virtually no £value but I spent about 45 minutes turning everything upside down

I didn't use the laundry service or the pool as it was a short stay.

Location, Location, Location! It was excellent for getting to what we wanted to see.

I have stayed at the Royal Maritime Hotel several times and will do so again. Rooms are very clean, the staff are always friendly and professional. On the most recent time, I had the breakfast whuch was excellent.

Has a very nice pool. Lots of leisure areas in hotel. The breakfast was superb. The hotel is located in an historical part of town which is very walkable. Lots of shopping close by. There were no usb ports in the room and no available convenience plugs. The water taps are dated

For the price of about £50/night with breakfast, this was excellent value. Good location by the historic dockyard and on a busy safe feeling street. I was given a recently refurbished bedroom but the corridor leading to it is being stripped and redecorated, I assume. It's a bit like staying in a Wardroom with lots of naval artefacts and evidently many RN guests. Pool area only had the v warm swimming pool open which was clean and quiet. Breakfast was basic. Good selection of cereals and basic hot items which were popular with others. Even better if: bedroom window was obscured from outside so you can open curtains and have privacy. Also, a better coffee and tea selection at breakfast would make a huge difference too. Notwithstanding this, I will return as it was a comfortable affordable choice,

Clean, friendly staff, great location close to shops and historic dockyards. Meal in the restaurant was great.

Room was well sized but smelt a bit musty. Very dated furniture and bed was not very comfy. Excellent shower though. I was literally only using the room so used no other facilities

Have stayed at the Maritime hotel a few times now, the cleanliness of the rooms is very good, staff mostly are friendly and helpful. The hotel is being upgraded at the moment but there wasn't too much disruption. It's a nice, comfortable and friendly hotel.

Hotel met our expectations. Breakfast was very good shame the evening meals were mostly spicy.
