This beautiful and cozy guesthouse is the absolute right choice for your comfortable stay in the Lake District. You don’t need to look at other hotels!
Located near Windermere train station and bus stops, very convenient to explore the region.
Staff are very friendly and nice. Every morning, I enjoyed very good breakfast (so many options!) and greeting and chatting with them. It was a great start of a day.
A piece homemade cake they provide every day was delicious and made me happy.
The building itself is lovely and a view from my window was amazing.
I would love to stay with them again.

Lovely hotel with beautiful interior and the hospitality was warm. I’m glad I selected it. It would be nice if there were bottled drinking water in the rooms. Also there was shampoo but no conditioner in the bathroom amenity. Breakfast was superb.

The hotel is on a quiet lane close to the high street in Windermere. It is run by people who are obviously very experienced in hospitality and clearly responsive to what their guests require. The staff are friendly and helpful. The property is attractive and well maintained, also with a lovely garden where guests can sit. Our room was recently decorated, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast had varied choices which were nicely prepared and presented. There is a good sized car park and it's about 10 minutes walk from the station. A number of eating and drinking options within a few minutes walk.

As a couple, Mini room perfect for our requirements, stayed for 5 nights ample storage and cosy. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Exceptional breakfast , all first class ingredients and additional home made cakes a nice touch . Plenty of on site parking, able to leave car and walk to Windemere main street under 10 minutes. Would happily return to the Hideaway and pleased to recommend to others .

1. It is close to the train station and in a quiet and beautiful avenue.
2. The room is very clean!
3. The temperature of the room is very suitable and the bed is very comfortable.
4. The people of the hotel are very nice and provide us great helps, in particularly providing us the needles and threads when we need them urgently with various selections!
5. The breakfast is very delicious!
6. Keeping our luggage in the hotel are very easy!
I do like the hospitality of this hotel and also I will be very happy if I would stay in the hotel again in future!

We had a lovely two night stay here. Room 2 had a very comfortable bed, and the roll-top bath in this room was a real treat. Tea and coffee making facilities had everything we needed, the breakfast was sumptuous, with lots to choose from. There is plenty of car-parking right outside the front door, and the whole building is very attractive and in the local Lakeland style. There is a lovely garden to sit in when the weather is fine. The village is easily walkable in 5-10 mins and Bowness is only another mile further on. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to eat in locally. All of the team were lovely, friendly and accommodating. A great place to stay!

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to town, close to Orrest head walk with stunning views and only 30min walk to the lake which saved us parking charges. Plenty of parking at the property, Room was very clean. The breakfast was 10/10. Overall excellent value for money.
