Big rooms and absolutely delicious breakfast and coffee both mornings.

Yes it was well stocked but service very poor.very poor service in the restaurant had to wait an hour before are meal arrived also similar with breakfast waited half an hour.The room was very clean parking was very good.

Set in a nice quiet location. Very clean and our room had everything we needed. Food was excellent and portion sizes meant breakfast lasted us all day! Staff were very welcoming, helpful and cheerful.

There is nothing you could complain about. The beds are lovely, nice pillows and very cloud like duvet. Perfectly clean and comfortable room. Our dogs were welcome in their pet-friendly rooms and even given a sausage breakfast to their delight. We’ve eaten here many times. The roast is one of the best I’ve ever had. Always the same high standard. This is the vacation “local” pub that you wish your village had. And so reasonably priced for the service and quality.

This was an amazing place to stay. The staff were excellent and friendly. Especially the General Manager Ryan who went above and beyond to make my stay special. The room was spotless, comfortable, and a great size. The food in the restaurant was tasty, great choice and huge portions. I would highly recommend the Sawmills. I shall definitely be returning .

The Sawmill was recommended to us by a friend who stayed last year. We arrived to a warm welcome, by the manager, Ryan. The room was warm and inviting, and had everything we needed, (Water, tea, coffee etc, and hairdryer. As we had driven from Poole, we wanted to eat in. The fire is brilliant, the staff friendly, and the food worthy of 5 stars. There was real ale, and lovely melot wine. BReakfast was huge, and filling, all cooked fresh. We would recommend it to anyone.

Clean room, comfortable bed, good quality bedding. Great staff. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Convenient location

No problems to report. New management so it takes time to adjust. Have stayed a few times not expensive. There’s always gonna be that one waitress you don’t respond too but there’s other waiters and waitresses and I won’t let this review spoil it for them! Would stay again

Staff were very lovely and the included breakfast was very welcome. Very convenient if staying for a wedding at the local venue as it was a 5 minute walk away. Plenty of parking and lovely surroundings. Would stay again.

Big bed good shower free parking , bathroom a bit on the small size but still ok . Free breakfast included very nice staff who served breakfast very friendly.

Really good option. Amazing food at the restaurant and conveniently located for going on a nice walk along the coast.

Plus.. location staff breakfast Minus.. smallest bathroom we've ever seen.(not functional)

Location and historical aspect were wonderful. Service at breakfast was great! Room was a bit small, including the low ceiling over the bed and the tiny shower. Also, no soap in the bathroom sink.

Lovely 3 night stay at Sawmills when at a wedding down the hill. Clean lovely room, small but very useable bathroom with everything you need. Great breakfast included, nice bar friendly staff. Easy parking. Highly recommend.

The room was a good size and modern. I've stayed here before but in a different room. This room was quite noisy at night from a motor running in a building outside my window. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels. I did find it a bit strange that the room wasn't serviced daily even though it says so on the website. But I asked for clean cups and they were brought up to me. The cooked breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. But there is no option other than a cooked breakfast. So no cereals, fruit etc. And no marmalade for toast. The service provided by the staff in the bar and dining room is first class. I remembered Sue from last year. She's such a friendly lady and clearly understands what customer service is all about!! I don't know the names of the rest of the staff but they are a credit to the pub!
