After an amazing party in the afternoon we were unable to check until after 4;pm by which time no room on the lower floor was given as an option. The room is in the annex and described as a 2 minute walk. But that's not true for older people who have issues with walking. Once in the room which was hot. No heating was visible: the automatic fan and light combination was awful. Additionally no WiFi available. At 3am a red/green light started flashing which turned out to be the TV; eventually we found the off switch. Breakfast was greatly anticipated but sadly did not meet a 4star standard I can't even describe the black pudding. This was a greatly anticipated visit. I will try and see if it's improved in 6 months time.

Spa was excellent I had a room in The Paddocks and (as a single female) felt quite vulnerable on the 5 minute walk to and from the main building behind quite a tall hedge. Also my room wasn’t made up prior to the second night. The Poolside was lovely, staff were great and food/bar area all as expected. Will visit again (but ensure I’d be staying in the main building).

We were allocated rooms in the annex in Paddock, the water pressure in the shower was not satisfactory and took a long time to heat up. Unfortunately this was identified too late to raise with the hotel team as the booking was for just one night's stay. Breakfast was superb and the staff were extremely helpful.

Relaxing jacuzzi, would stay again

Beautiful building, but inside the hotel rooms could do with bringing it up to our century. The tv is so far away from the bed, you can order room service , by using the QR code, but once you’ve checked the menu out, you then have to ring a telephone number to place your order, there is also a charge of £5 per tray . Breakfast plenty to choose from, but the hot food was not hot it was cold Wouldn’t stay there again .

Staff were hit and miss. Lucy checked me in and was great but Grace refused to let me borrow a charger even though she said there was a box full in lost property. Breakfast staff not brilliant either. Asked for a pot to put sauce in too be told to put straight on plate, why? Lager in bar was flat except the one that costs £7.95. Dont take cash. Room was only ok. Would not rush back.

Love staying at Whittlebury Hall, think time for a refurbish, and up date, room very clean, all great.

Decent hotel, we found the hotel bed really uncomfortable, bad night sleep now suffering the consequences of a bad back.

Mixed reviews overall, my room was generally pretty clean however, I found a hair in the bathroom that definitely wasn't mine as it was about 6 inches long onnthe tiles of the shower, the window didnt stay open without wedging something underneath it, decor was tired and the TV was no bigger than a PC monitor and looked lost on the wall and wasnt vaguely visible from the bed and everytime the fridge in the room clicked on and off it turned the TV off and on again (annoying to say the least). The fitness area however was quite good, the pool was a tad on the cold side but a good size, steam room was good and the salt sauna was outstanding, found the main restaurant to be quite pricey (£80 a head for 3 courses) so gave it miss so cant comment on quality of food. Overall a decent stay but lacking in some areas and given the three figure cost not bad value for money but not great

If you are staying in the paddock building, there is a separate carpark closer to that building. The bar area is nice and I preferred the bar menu compared to the man restaurant. A lot cheaper as well. My room in the paddock building was great. Plenty of space, clean and they kept the natural wall as a feature as well. Comfy bed. Plenty of extras in the room such as canned water, sweets, crisps, biscuits etc. The room had a fridge as well. I booked through hotels.com £93 for a Monday night including breakfast as access to the leisure facilities. Leisure facilities had a good steam room and sauna. Two hot tubs but one isn’t working. Large pool, a little cold but good. Plenty of loungers. I didn’t use any of the other facilities such as the gym, hair salon or beauty/massage therapies. There is also plenty of seating areas around the building so you can step away and find somewhere more quiet and intimate if you don’t want to be in the main bar. Highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful Location, relaxed atmosphere. Good sized room, if a little overpriced. Hotel was clean, toilets well serviced. Walls a little thin (or I had noisy neighbours :-) ) Reception Staff super helpful and friendly. Bar Staff and Bar Waitress faultless in helpfulness - Bar food (WH LOADED BURGER) arrived quickly and piping hot. Astons Breakfast (Sunday Morning) was fabulous, good selection. Hostess, waiters and waitresses - great job. Hotel Pool, Sauna and Steam, clean and perfect - changing rooms were OK. Jacuzzi was full (first come, first served) so did not use. Didn't use Day Spa or any treatments.

Excellent hotel no complaints whatsoever

The spa was dirty with bugs crawling around the pool edge. This made me question the entire cleanliness of the hotel.

The room was nice and clean, but dated but nice. One thing that did annoy me, there was a breakfast menu that u hang outside your door to get breakfast to your room. I filled it out and put it on my door and no body took the order, they slid a bar bill under my door though but didn't take the order so that wasn't great.
