The suite we stayed in was superb, with excellent meals to add to the enjoyable overnight stay.

The bar prices were far too expensive. The room was lovely but in the bathroom there was nowhere to put soap and shower gel in shower. No glass to put tooth brushes in

Many problems. Firstly my contactless card has been charged £90 for a £9 glass of wine. Second, the hotel has taken £50 deposit and not yet returned this. Apart from the money the toilet flush did not work properly, refilling the cistern after use was erratic. We had one towel for two people, the shower is only drench (no shower cap available). Staff were not as helpful/friendly as you would hope, WiFi kept dropping out. Finally a minor disability issue. There is a good ramp to the reception, but only accessible from the car park over a raised kerb.

Great room. Very comfy with good amenities and the staff couldn't be more eager to help. There was a hair in the bathtub when I arrived. Apart from that spotless.

In general the hotel was of a good standard the food was very good at breakfast I feel that it lacked choice and beverages should of been more accessible. The bedroom was of a very good standard but lacked a blind so that the curtains could be open and still have privacy where as now once the curtains are open there is no privacy and people can look in from the car park. The shower area could do with a shelf for the shampoo and body wash or dispenser.

Expectations were high after been at the venue a few years ago for a christmas gala and overnight night, enjoying our experience overall. We attended The Austin wedding on Sunday 14th June We checked in online but didn't actually collect our belongings from the car until 7.10pm (after the ceremony/reception). We were allocated room 212 - upon arrival I noted the bed unmade, wet towels/shower mat on the bathroom floor, no tea, coffee or kettle in the room No cups for the hot drinks No glasses in the bathroom No clean towels I phoned reception and they assured me the room would be serviced - obviously we could not wait., We changed our clothes and went to the evening event. On coming back to the room some time later Bed had been made, towels in the bathroom - still no tea/coffee facilities no cups and glasses The bathroom floor did not appear to have been cleaned either I phoned reception again - no reply. I phoned catering , who after half an our brought up tea/coffee, milks and sugar but alas, still not kettle, cups or glasses - this point, my main concern was been able to take my regular medications and my husband for his heart medications . I called reception again and the same gentlemen, did after half an hour at least, bring them up. I have to also mention the bar service in the main hall for the wedding just having 1 person a majority of the time was quite inappropriate, especially knowing the volume of people attending the wedding. Needed more staff overall tbh

Room clean and looked good but was stifling. No adjustment on the thermostat. Portable air cooler in the wardrobe. Switched on terrible smell. Checked inside water hopper was covered in stinking slime. No hot water to the sink. Terrible attitude of a couple of staff members. Breakfast was a sham. Tiny side plates for breakfast. Asked for a second coffee and was told they had run out and weren't making any more. This was 9.15 am. Barman tried adding on extra drinks. Would never return.

Beautiful room clean just needed water bottles and biscuits extra touch .

My single room was very poor , needed a deep clean , bathroom ground in grime , curtains hanging off the hooks and window paint peeling off . The bed was old and uncomfortable.There was a block of wood and I wondered what it was for , I realised when I opened the window that you needed it to keep the window open . Fan didn’t work in the bathroom . The toilets downstairs in the old part absolutely stank of sewerage , and that’s not new as they stank the same last year when I visited for a wedding .

Booked a room for 1 based on a 3 night stay. Room was sufficient based in the original older building. Bit tired but adequate based around the price I paid. Wedding was on which I gather will be a frequent weekend event based on the location/amenities. Did not bother me too much personally as I was out of the hotel for most of my stay but obviously there was noise connected to the partying which is to be expected..overall a good stay and the breakfast and breakfast service was good.

The price at the bar was horrendous £11 for a glass of pressecco and £8 for a pint of lager. Thers no need to charge this much with the volume of people going to a wedding. They have got your pants down really. Needs to be better signage for each wedding party as guests were in the wrong wedding. The furniture in the wedding venues very poor ...chairs were so wobbly not safe at all. The hotel itself is lovely the rooms are spacious clean and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was really nice . Needs some attention in the waiting areas to go into the wedding.

We came to a wedding which was great, in itself, check in no issue. room had cobwebs on the wall lights, discarded false lashes in the bath and the toilet hadn’t been cleaned by or since the previous occupant had left. Very expensive room to then have issues spoilt what was a great day/night

I was a bit surprised to be put in a room on the old side of the hotel - a bit souless. I'm sure the more modern side to the hotel is nice, but I didn't get to see it

The main corridor from lift needs to be improved so that a lot lighter. The bathroom Very disappointing. So dark could not see control indicators- not every one wants a drench experience no hooks near shower for towels/clothes, no shower gel, shower cap or sani bags. No non slip mat , I was not confident that the tiles were non slip.. Toilet felt insecure as if would cone away from wall, again very dark. The bed side light was awful, like looking at clear bulb, not near enough to read in bed comfortably. Switches on side of head board difficult to use unless sat up. Very Bad cold plates for a hot breakfast - why. On a postive note the staff were professional and helpful, the food at the wedding breakfast was excellent.

Parking was good and staff and bar staff and drink selection was excellent xx

Very nice property, great facilities

The room we had at the front of the hotel had a chipped sink and dirty shower. No air conditioning is installed so the room was extremely warm which caused us not to have a great night's sleep! The hotel promises a lot but it failed to deliver for us. The food is overpriced, catering to the execs on expenses, especially the breakfast, limited selection with only one person available for service so tables were dirty and cutlery missing. Our evening meal had a large hair in it and had to be sent back. So as a summary, overpriced and understaffed, the combination did not make a great stay.

Parking easy. Staff lovely and helpful. Excellent coffee, wine and whisky at bar.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! Will most definitely stay again!

The staff are always very pleasant and helpful, and check-in is smooth and friendly every time. Unfortunately, I’ve been disappointed with housekeeping on my last few stays. I’ve left the “Clean My Room” tag on the door when leaving in the morning, but returned to find the tag still there and the room untouched. I have mentioned this previously at reception, but sadly it doesn’t seem to have improved. Apart from this issue, I absolutely love staying here.
