The property was nice inside but the room we had was in the old part wasn’t very clean a lot of dust furniture tatty curtains hanging off the rail water stains on ceiling paint all flaking on the walls in the window and a lot of cold coming from the windows really bad stains on the mattress but the towels and bedding was very clean left the portable heater on all nite to keep the room warm

I've had an excellent one night stay at the Wildes hotel in Derbyshire every thing was good from the warm comfy room lovely shower and an excellent breakfast could not find fault with anything that was there

A fantastic venue for a wedding, we were guests. The setting, staff, service, food and rooms were all excellent. We couldn’t fault it and having never stayed in a Wildes Inns hotel before, we will definitely be looking out to stay in another one next time we’re away. We loved everything about it!

This is our second visit to this hotel and once again the staff in reception, bar and dining were excellent. All the public areas are welcoming and modern. Breakfast was very good too with lots of choices. Only small issue was our room, which although a good size, comfortable bed etc it didn’t appear to have been hoovered and there was a couple of small issues with the bathroom cleaning. As others have mentioned the bar prices seem quite high on certain things. While we are prepared to pay extra for lovely surroundings and service, we do feel £16.00 for a large glass of wine is a bit expensive. Offers on mid day dining were very good and food and service excellent. We wouldn’t let the small cleaning issue put us off returning as it was possibly a ‘one off’ incident.

Great experience from start to finish. Restaurant is amazing and worth a trip. Rooms were clean and amazingly done! Even with a disturbance in the early hours from another guest the hotel dealt with it quickly and efficiently once raised. Definitely recommend.

The whole hotel was beautiful lovely and warm , very nice room everything that you need was there. The staff couldn't do enough for you, also very polite.

The room was very clean and the food was very good. The staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay. There was a slight smell from the toilet, which needs fixing, but overall I was pleased with the service and experience.
