Feels like home away from home! Everything is perfect, the staff, the food, the band, the rooms, the gym. There is a place for the one who wants to enjoy the sun, the one who needs to work and the teenager who want WiFi. We had a good laugh about how to switch on/off the right lights with the right button, never naild it... Everyone is friendly and easy going, we love to come back to Tribe!

The room are very clean, no smell. And new. The bed is amazing. And good size for the price. Worth the stay.

Friendly staff, great shopping and dining options close by, and ease of transport made this the perfect home base for the week!

We had a wonderful honeymoon stay to round off our trip at Tribe. The hotel is beautiful and very clean, but what really stood out was the friendly and attentive nature of all the staff. Can’t fault it.

I am a Hotels.com Gold member, and this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. At check-in, Jackson at the reception told me that I could only get a room upgrade if I paid $50 per night, and when I refused, he suddenly offered to “discount” it to $30 per night. This was completely inappropriate and misleading, as Gold members are entitled to complimentary upgrades when rooms are available — and the hotel was clearly not full. Our room was directly above the restaurant, where a live band performed every night on the outdoor terrace. On the third night, a singer joined, and it honestly felt like being inside a concert hall. Even after the music ended around 10 PM, loud laughter and shouting from restaurant guests continued until closing time. We had to endure this for three nights straight, and it was impossible to rest. When we complained, no one offered to change our room or take any action. Despite clearly explaining the situation, Jackson and the staff showed no apology, no concern, and no willingness to help. It’s unacceptable for a hotel of this level to treat guests in such a careless manner. There was no prior notice about nightly performances, and no attempt was made to ensure guests’ comfort. I sincerely hope that Tribe Hotel management reviews their service standards and trains their staff to treat guests with honesty and respect. Until then, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who values rest, professionalism, or integrity.

Clean eoom and nice Staff

I recently stayed at Tribe for a conference, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Nestled right next to the upscale Village Mall, this modern and chic hotel boasts a stunning design enhanced by striking African art. Everything was impeccably maintained, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The a la carte breakfast included with my stay was absolutely delicious, and having club lounge access was a fantastic perk. The lounge offered a delightful breakfast with an omelette bar and transformed into a vibrant space for happy hour, featuring creative cocktails and tasty appetizers each evening. Dining at Jiko, the hotel’s restaurant, was a highlight, showcasing mouthwatering modern African cuisine. My only minor complaints would be that the Wi-Fi connection was occasionally unreliable, and the beautiful pool was unheated, making it quite chilly. Overall, Tribe is a fantastic choice for a stylish and comfortable stay!

We had the pleasure of spending several days in Nairobi at the Tribe. As first time visitors of Kenya our family of four from Canada with two young adult daughters, we were a bit nervous as to what to expect with Nairobi but we couldn’t have been luckier than to have selected the Tribe (it was highly recommended to us). The staff there are kind, friendly and professional. Best of all, we were introduced to Jeff, our driver and guide who was recommended by the hotel. From the moment we met Jeff he made us feel completely safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. He didn’t just drive us around—he welcomed us like family. We used the Tribe as a hub between safaris and a trip to Tanzania’s mainland and Zanzibar. With Jeff as our reliable contact in Nairobi for each of our multiple airport drop offs, pick-ups, and tour day in Nairobi; and the Tribe with its great staff, ambiance, safety and cleanliness (plus yummy food) we genuinely looked forward to returning between adventures. The Tribe held our larger luggages during the adventures and Jeff’s dependability made us feel safe, comfortable and welcome. Even when we were running predictably late Jeff kindly ensured we made each flight, and were never stranded nor confused with where to go or what to do at the airport (for pick-ups and drop-offs). The Tribe was a hit. As for Jeff, if you're visiting Nairobi and want a driver who will go above and beyond to make things smooth he is the person you want.

Staff were amazing! We stayed there 3 times a various points throughout our safaris & travels and couldn’t have been happier! It was through this hotel that we met Jeff, our indispensable driver. He was nothing short of a blessing. He took amazing care of us during our day trip around Nairobi & our endless trips to & from the airports for our Kenya & Tanzania adventures. If you go to Nairobi and need a driver ask for Jeff.

Stunning hotel - beautiful decor inside the rooms and reception and dining areas. Pool area is magnificent. Friendly, welcoming staff as well. Great location - in central Nairobi and attached to Village Mall for all the amenities needed.

Very nice hotel in every way

Conveniently situated just a three-minute walk from Village Market, the hotel offers easy access to a vibrant mix of unique boutiques, local artisans, and an array of fantastic restaurants. From the moment I was picked up at the airport, the service was exceptional. My “Chieftain” — the wonderful Barbara — took the time to ask about my preferences for the trip and offered thoughtful, tailored recommendations. She even accompanied me on a Friday shopping trip and arranged for special items to be delivered directly to my room. The atmosphere at Tribe is a perfect blend of modern luxury and eco-conscious design. Striking artwork throughout the property evokes a sense of awe, while the serene, nature-inspired setting creates a feeling of calm and retreat. Be sure to visit the indoor-outdoor restaurant. I highly recommend the seafood soup — a perfectly balanced dish bursting with rich, layered flavors that truly delighted the palate. Having tasted fish soups in renowned culinary cities like Lyon and Marseille, I can confidently say Tribe’s version holds its own — compliments to the chef! The true gem of the experience, however, is the staff. Friendly, courteous, and genuinely attentive, they consistently went above and beyond to ensure every detail was just right. I’m already looking forward to my next trip to Nairobi — and there’s no question where I’ll be staying.

Tribe is a great hotel, had a brilliant culture, and serves fantastic food They even offered is a complimentary late room check out as I had a late flight back to the up on my last day in Nairobi An added advantage is that you can use the heated top floor pool at the sister hotel ‘Trademark’ which adjoins the neighboring Mall, we took full advantage of that option We arrived late on the first day so had to settle for the room service menu, it was the best quality room service menu that I have ever experienced

I have stayed at The Tribe a handful of times now and I am never disappointed. The property is always clean, my room was very nice and clean, I love the menu selection, especially the healthy choices on the breakfast menu. I would like to recognize all of the restaurant staff, and Virginia in Housekeeping especially for being so friendly and accomodating to me and my son during our stay. I would definitely recommend The Tribe to anyone, 5 out of 5 stars everytime, thank you so much! I will see you next time. Kind Regards, MC
