古いが小奇麗で良い。スタッフも良く気が利く。空港に最も近いホテルなので、安心感がある。Wifiのつながりが良ければなお一層良い。

This is a classic and funky place in Longyearbyen and probably worth considering for that reason alone. The staff were very helpful and the food was wonderful. The main downside was the incredible expense particularly for a tiny room w a shared bathroom/ toilet. The town is expensive generally given its remote location but it is hard to justify charging as much as they do nonetheless.

Wonderful stay in Svalbard! Everything is positive from the charming historical character of the hotel itself, to the helpfulness and kindness of the staff. 5 star breakfast, and 5 star cleaning. The only minus I see, which is not really a decisive factor for not booking again, are the things walls/interior isolation in the corridor of the one room building. If you are sensitive to noises, you will easily hear doors being open and closed in the corridor (both rooms and the toilets). But again, I would book the room again if I would travel to Svalbard one more time.

Quirky and clean, lovely location, superb breakfast, warm literally and figuratively. Rooms are basic, reminding me of summer camp in my youth.

Super sted til prisen. Beliggenheden er fantastisk med fjeldet lige uden for vinduet. Super gode muligheder for at lave egen mad. Pejsestuen var super hyggelig. Værelserne var ok. Sengene lige lovlig smalle og der msnglede lidt knager hylder så man kunne pakke ud

The actual room is basic but sufficient. Shared bathrooms are clean and there were enough that I never had to wait. I did not have issues with it being noisy and I’m a light sleeper. The hotel itself is the treat. Pure Svalbard. It’s an old mining camp and the decor reflects that in a fun way. Lots of fun places to gather on the property—only bummer is that the sauna isn’t up and running yet. It’s walkable to town and also a stop on the flybys shuttle to the airport. The staff is incredibly helpful. Very flexible about letting you leave bags to pick up later if you are leaving on an extended trip. The restaurant is the real treat…wonderful breakfast included with stay AND I had two outstanding dinners there as well. If I ever return to Svalbard this is where I would stay.

Mycket enkelt boende - tidigare boende för gruvarbetare - som uppgraderats föga. Toalett och dusch i korridoren, gamla möbler - spartanskt och mycket litet rum. Normal hotellservice som bäddning och byte av handdukar endast mot extra avgift. Men bra restaurang, god frukost och trevliga gemensamma utrymmen.

One of a kind hotel in one of a kind location Living common space was very useful and traveler friendly

Really pleased with our stay here. Staff were helpful in allowing us to store our luggage whilst we wandered around the settlement before checking in properly. Single room was spacious enough with bed, wardrobe, desk, chair and mirror and decent floor space. The shared bathrooms are kept clean, one of them even had a full bathtub if you fancy a long soak. The restaurant does a good variety for breakfast with both hot and cold food and drink. We dined in the restaurant one evening and can highly recommend the food here. The windows have blackout blinds if you are stayed during the summer, though some light does still creep in and a sleep mask is recommended if you would struggle to sleep when it’s not dark. Overall, I’m glad we chose this hotel as it felt a lot more authentic and in keeping with the rest of Longyearbyen.
