Lovely warm welcome and a great place to spend New Year’s Eve. This was our second trip to The Marine Troon and each time we have been really impressed by the team throughout the hotel, the rooms and the most impressive setting. It’s hard to believe you’re only 30mins or so from Glasgow

Everything was lovely as usual .We have stayed many times, and always have a great stay.My husband and I will be returning soon thank you .

The breakfast options were good, but staff need training on allergies/intolerance. I had a sympathetic response to being gluten intolerant, but waitress looked a bit anxious. I did receive gluten free toast, ordered porridge which is normally safe for me but it came with granola (which should have been left off)! Other than that the staff were excellent and very attentive.

The staff were very friendly and helpful particularly the concierge both when we arrived and departed. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable and the views over the water on two bright sunny mornings were very impressive. The toilet was clean and bright and the shower effective. We enjoyed both our breakfasts and the evening meal on our first evening

I rated the stay as 3 stars because of the lack of pool. If I'd known that the pool wasn't available before booking, I would have chosen an alternative hotel with a pool. The advertising showed the pictures of pool & it is only when you looked at the details subsection that there was a note stating that the pool was out of use for a period.

Clean room , lovely food and really nice staff

Lovely stay, room was great and bed was comfy. Staff were so lovely. Pool was good, although could do with a clean under the pool chairs. Breakfast was great!

We had a king bedroom booked and they upgraded us to a king suite apparently which was not tidy at all, there was spiderwebs, dead flies at the window etc. Upon complaining about it, this room situation was fixed with a replacement room which we appreciate appreciated. The staff at the time was accommodating about it. In the morning when we were checking out, the person at the desk wasn’t apologetic at all when we said what our entire situation was like. Instead told us that we got a room which was more expensive than we originally booked. On the positive side, the views are great, breakfast had really good options. Pool/swimming was great.

Was a great location, nice but small rooms, great staff and food

Last minute booking as other hotel had power cut. Staff were amazing. Truly dog-friendly. Complimentary prosecco in rooms. Spa was lovely. Evening meal and breakfast both delicious. Thank you for salvaging our weekend!

The pool, hot tub & steam room were all great and clean. Breakfast was delicious with various options. Staff were all very helpful & welcoming. I have no complaints at all.

Lovely communal areas for bar, dinner and breakfast. Room wasn't that great. A bit tired and needed a refresh. En suite very basic. Great views from the spa hot tub.

We stayed at the Marine Troon for three nights whilst touring the area. It is a beautiful hotel right on the coast with stunning views over the Isle of Arran. The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. The service in the restaurants was patchy however. One evening, we waited over 30 minutes for our food to arrive and one drink never arrived. The following night, we had to wave down the wait staff to ask for a menu after sitting at a table for 20 minutes. It was not overly busy at these times so it suggests the staff need additional training. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again when in the area.

Staying at this hotel feels like stepping back into the 19th century—absolutely stunning. The staff is incredibly accommodating, and the view is just breathtaking.
