Place was amazing and can’t wait to go again

the hotel was really clean staff helpful over all a great stay

Great location, room was ok - not great, showers are dated and create that swamp feel afterwards, and our view was full of pigeons and their poop. Staff was quite nice.

Our room was supposed to be a deluxe double with a sea view, it was very small, only one armchair, nowhere to put your suitcase, no drawer unit to put your clothes, shower room small, with a shower base which looked chipped, no heated towel rail, my wife couldn’t see in the shower room mirror, it was too high, shower room was cold, nowhere to put your soap bag, at £435 per night, it wasn’t good enough, the breakfast was good, we had no hot water the first day, we were booked for four nights and left after two, ruined holiday.

Friendly and competent staff. Beautiful and well appointed room. Free breakfast was high quality with many options. Attached wellness center is very good. Royal Troon golf club is a short par 3 away

Troon is a cute little town, and this hotel was perfect. The views from the dining room and any sea-facing room are wonderful. Even my room from the back had a great view. But the comment everyone makes about the friendliness of the staff is on point. I've certainly stayed at places with a stand-out employee, but I've never stayed anywhere in decades of travel that had more invariably friendly and helpful staff. It will hardly seem real except that they're all genuine. Must be a fun place to work. Would gladly stay here again and build a trip around the visit.

Great start to the stay with excellent welcome from all at the front desk. Bags whisked up to the room while I was still checking in. Chaps at the door always had a smile and a welcome greeting. Room was tight but well maintained with a good view towards the golf course. bar was busy but efficient and I thought the food served there was very good.

My stay at Marine Troon was outstanding. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make my stay a memorable one. The service was on par with any 5 star hotel I have been to. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was solid. The convenience to several of Scotland's beat golf courses was amazing. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to explore this beautiful area.

Great hotel, friendly staff and ideal for golf

Overall staff were excellent and welcoming however couple of issues regarding the cleanliness of the room. The toilet was dirty and not flushed, appeared to be missed by cleaning staff. By the bedside there were chocolate wrappers, which was not pleasant and gave a feeling the room was not cleaned properly. Also there are no controls for air-conditioning and the radiator was not working. Hot water to the taps was taking ages. Also there is no local Uber service, hence have to rely on taxi, which the hotel kindly arranged.

Great Hotel and great stay

It’s been two years since I last stayed at the marine - the rooms are a little more tiered than I remember but the staff were top class! The guy who welcomed us in was super lovely and helpful when it came to us choosing dinner. The ‘posher’ restaurant menu is significantly better than the bar menu. I did order a pasta dish and the pasta was not what was described on the menu it was fusilli pasta which was giving kids dinner - would have been nice for them to mention, although I was hungry. Not really a complaint as it was lovely.

Absolutely phenomenal hotel stayed on numerous occasions

We have had the BEST stay, beautiful room with a stunning view and an extremely comfy bed. Quality fresh mussels served just how we like them lovely and hot. Excellent breakfast with quality produce cooked to perfection. Everything was outstanding but what was above outstanding was the service by the staff, nothing was too much trouble and all made us feel very welcome especially Martin the concierge who goes above and beyond looking after all of the guests. Well done we will be back again soon.

We have just had the most incredible stay since the minute we arrived on Friday. The staff couldn’t be more helpful or friendly. Jasmine in the Spa is deserving of a special mention. As someone who rarely gets treatments, I was very unsure of myself she immediately put me at ease as well as delivering the most relaxing salt scrub. The pool afford fantastic views of the course and sea, which this weekend were wild with white horses racing to shore. The food in both eateries was exceptional, the burrata and blood orange and absolute revelation. And as for the cocktails, the perfect cherry on top- highly recommend the Smugglers Trail and the Slanj n Slainte. Thank you for an incredible stay, we are already looking forward to our next stay.

I recently stayed at The Marine Hotel Troon with my 80-year-old disabled mum as a birthday treat. While we booked a deluxe king room with a sea view, which was pleasant, our stay was overshadowed by serious concerns regarding safety and poor communication. The phone in our second-floor room was not working and was constantly engaged. Given that my mum is disabled, this was completely unacceptable and left me extremely anxious, as I had no way to contact reception in the event of an emergency during the night. To make matters worse, no information about breakfast was provided at check-in, and there was nothing in the room either. I attempted to call reception from around 8pm, but due to the faulty phone, this was impossible. I was eventually forced to go down to reception myself after 10pm just to ask basic questions about breakfast times and location. A staff member did come to the room and confirmed the phone was faulty. I specifically asked to be informed once it had been fixed, yet I received no update whatsoever. By the time we checked out at 10:30am the following morning, the phone was still not working, and no explanation, apology, or follow-up was offered. I find it extremely concerning that a hotel would leave guests—particularly vulnerable guests—without a working means of contacting reception overnight, and then fail to resolve the issue or communicate properly. This reflects a serious lack of care and attention to guest safety. Overall, despite the nice room, the e

Amazing stay, great friendly service, first class bedrooms.

It was not a good stay, when we tried to contact the hotel to provide feedback they would not respond.

We had a lovely stay. Our room was beautiful, beds are extremely comfortable. Food was lovely and very friendly staff. Location is stunning. Would definitely stay again. X
