I read the mixed reviews and decided to give this place a chance and it was as bad as the worst reviews state. The rooms, the grounds, the beach were all in awful condition. As much as they charge per room, they should be able to start renovating these outdated, rundown rooms. The staff were all kind and helpful. The continental breakfast, while small, was fine. Everything was fresh and replenished as needed. We unfortunately won't be back.

Very nice location and easy to get to ferry and shopping

Terrible, first front desk young men were rude, didn't even look at you when in conversation. Room bed was comfortable but the rest of a mess. Frames falling of pictures, rug dirty, breakfast HUGE disappointment, tap water either came out in trickles or full blast. Not knowing the outcome till turned on. It was a great view but the area between hotel and beach filled with goode poop!! A lot of poop!!! Find another hotel that cares more about its customers.

Not much food options in the area for breakfast but , lots of good food options for lunch and dinner… the hotel is in a good location and the amenities are okay. The staff is very friendly. The beds are average comfortable. I love the view of Lake Huron ! The seagulls are horrible especially the poop every where!! Bonfire pit is a good place to relax.. bugs are everywhere especially at night! Honestly, all in all I would recommend to stay here as a place that is very close to everything! I would stay there again

Nice hotel, clean, quiet and nice friendly staff.

When we first got there we wanted to go some where else. The room was way outdated, the carpeting in the room was very old and worn. The faucet did not work right, the shower handle all most fell off, you had to ask for everything, toilet paper, towels. the beach area was all rocks, the kids toys were old and in shambles. The hot tub did not work after numerous times asking them to get it to work. The pool was filthy. We will never stay here again.

We enjoyed are stay. Great views from our patio of the lake.

The stay was great except that we’re not able to used the hot tub as it was not functioning and swimming pool was a bit dirty.

Registration staff was very friendly & nice. The room was clean. Very clean. We reserved 2 queen beds, got 2 full beds. The bathroom towel racks were loose...above toilet and next to sink. The property and beach was littered with dog poop. I signed something during registration that stated I would be charged $200 if I did not clean up after my dogs....I assumed the property would be clean. I did clean up after my dogs, because it's the right thing to do. Convenient location, just a quick drive to town.

Hot tub was cold water only. Shower didnt work. Bathroom door is swollen and wont shut. Had to slam entry door to get to shut. Room wasnt ready 2 hrs after check in was. Pool chipping paint but is nice because its deeper than most pools but its outdoors and is cold.

It needs to be updated. And the beach needs to be cleaned up. It had so much bird poop u cant walk on it.but the view is stunning

Convenient to Ferry and clean. Staff was helpful. However, room was old and needs to be remodeled. Drapes had holes, security bar hardware for sliding door broken, broken lamp, mold on bathroom grout and other repairs needed. Rate was expensive for this type of property.

On the plus side the bed was comfortable and there was a patio facing the lake. Free shuttle to the boats to mackinaw island. On the negative side it was very outdated. Avocado green bathroom. They said beach but I’d hardly call that a beach. Breakfast was continental style. Would not stay there again. The town was just ok. Would stay in Macinaw city.

If you want to walk amongst geese droppings, this is your spot. The other properties in the area did not have geese and droppings all over the place. As soon as you step out of the parking lot and onto the grass droppings are everywhere and they are not small. We had our dog with us and he had trouble avoiding them. It was disgusting. We tried to walk down to the lake and said it’s not worth it too hard to walk back. They had the nerve to show a swingset and bonfire with chairs and picnic table. I would never stay here again and the room had curtains with worn out backing that let the lights shine into the room as soon as the sun came up.
