Which devices can use travel SIM cards?

A travel SIM card is just a normal physical SIM card. You can use them for smartphones, tablets, and some versions of smartwatches as long as your device has a SIM card slot and isn’t locked to a network.

To check if your device is locked to the network, follow these steps below:

- For iOS: Settings > General> About > In the Carrier Lock section, if there is the text “ No SIM restrictions” then your device is not locked to the network.

- For Android: Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks/ Cellular Networks > Network Operators > If you see a list of multiple carriers, your device is not locked to the network.

Note: For pocket WiFi, not all travel SIMs are compatible. You need to carefully check with the SIM supplier before purchasing.

B. How to install and use a travel SIM card?

Step 1: Plug and insert the SIM card: Sim2Go’s travel SIM card is pre-cut in 3 sizes: Regular SIM, micro SIM, and nano SIM. You just need to separate the SIM card according to the correct size of the device’s SIM slot and insert it.

Step 2: Turn on mobile data and data roaming

- For iOS: Settings > Cellular > Turn on Cellular Data > Go to Cellular Data Options > Turn on Data Roaming

- For Android:

Turn on mobile data: Settings > Connections > SIM Manager> Mobile Data > Choose the travel SIM you have installed in your device

Turn on data roaming: Go back to Connections > Mobile Networks > Turn on Data Roaming

C. SIM delivery

To receive a SIM card, you can choose 1 out of 2 options on the product payment page:

1. Door to door delivery

Free standard delivery within Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi (within 3–5 working days).

Free standard delivery throughout Vietnam (within 5–7 working days).

The delivery fee applies to same-day express delivery service in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi and is based on actual quotes displayed on Grab/Ahamove; SIM will be delivered from: Ho Chi Minh City (The Prince Residence 17-21 Nguyen Van Troi, Ward 12, Phu Nhuan District) or Hanoi (26, Lane 110 Trung Kinh, Cau Giay District); delivery time: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:30).

2. SIM card pick up at the Sim2Go office

You can pick up SIM cards directly at:

Ho Chi Minh City: The Prince Residence 17-21 Nguyen Van Troi, Ward 12, Phu Nhuan District; Working hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:30.

Hanoi: No. 26, Lane 110 Trung Kinh, Cau Giay District; Working hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:30.

Traveloka의 Sim4g를 사용하면 비행기가 Mel에 도착하려고 하는 순간부터 Sim을 설치했는데 처음에는 Sim이 작동하지 않아서 여러 번 껐다가 켜야 했습니다. 그것 때문인지는 모르겠지만 먼저 유심을 구매해서 4G 유심 작동 시간을 5일 정도 등록했는데 서버가 업데이트가 안 되거나 유심이 불량이어서 호주 네트워크도 몇 개 선택하고 마지막으로 언제쯤 됐는지 모르겠네요. 공항에서 멜센터까지 버스를 타고 SIM이 작동했고 그 이후로 멜버른 주변 시골로 자전거를 타고 갔을 때도 4G 신호가 상당히 좋았습니다.
