Great place to visit

It's with disappointment that I have to rate this resort poorly, having previously having an excellent stay. I base this on dreadful customer service in response to a reasonable request for a refund following cancelation due to extreme weather

Absolutely loved Daydream Island. Even though its an island, there was plenty to do. And was great to lounge buy the pool all day. Food was amazing aswell. Trivia with Molly was great and the Trivia and the kids :)

Property needs to be cleaned and provide 4 star service. Toilets are leaking and cockroaches in room not acceptable. Need more restaurants and providing more dining options

The food was absolutely fantastic – 10/10! However, be prepared for the high cost. The accommodation was stunning, especially since we were upgraded to an ocean-view room, but unfortunately, the room itself was quite dated and not well-maintained. It was dusty, and the bathroom had visible black mold. We raised our concerns with reception, but the only response we received was a small room credit, which we appreciated. Overall, while the location and food were great, the condition of the room was disappointing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the facility. The living reef was a very convenient option for kids and adults to experience. Weather wasn't the best but staff made opportunities for activities. Food and service at Salti restaurant was very good. Buffet breakfast was unfortunately quite disappointing with limited options and quality of the food compared to the star rating of the facility. Coffee cups were heavily stained with coffee despite raising this issue with management 3 days in a row. Response was their dishwasher wasn't working properly. ?? How hygienic were the utensils then??

Good location for family.

Nice place to stay on the island, the downside is lack of air conditioning. Unless you plan on spending all day in the pool or your room then probably best to avoid this place in summer. I am a born and raised north qld local. I was dripping sweat in the main build watching the Australian open on the big screen and playing pool.

Room cleaning was very average Dining very limited with limited menu - only 2 restaurants Only 1 restaurant open for lunch with the same menu as the dinner menu Web site false advertising as most things not open or available

We received a room upgrade which was an amazing bonus! Pizzas were next level (had at least 1 per day during our stay). Staff were very welcoming and accommodating to our needs. Can't recommend highly enough.

Pools great for kids and relaxing. Very family friendly. Needs more restaurant options as only 2 and 1 downstairs is not the best food. Also needs longer service period of staff as no room service after 8pm and no room service during the day so with tired kids napping we had to wake them up and walk to downstairs to order which is terrible. No help or answer of phone after hours. Needs better cost effective opportunities to leave island to do activities and tours, as booked up quickly with their slots and not a lot of help and costs a lot to do transfers for a day for a whole family to Airlie beach or Hamilton, so you end up feeling stranded on the island.

Daydream was really nice, the island itself was beautiful. Some areas of the resort were a little run down, the shower in our room was not great in terms of design flaws, water spilling over the side due to lack of glass, the fan in the bathroom didn’t work either which meant it was a constant battle against condensation when showering, not ideal. Food was inconsistent across different dining options, even if you ordered the same thing it would come totally different on another day. Some areas of the resort were dirty, carpet and lounge areas in communal points. Good range of activities and lovers cove was beautiful, pool was nice too, staff were super helpful- Tour desk were great to organise activities through. Spa prices a bit high.

The condition of the hotel and the apartment was very unsatisfactory. The bathroom shower has visible mould and rust. We found droplets of blood on our bed linen. Dust balls underneath the beds. We were truly saddened, as my family work in the health field, and we rarely take time off work, and when we finally decided to holiday on “Day Dream Island Resort”, we were utterly disappointed with the state of uncleanliness and lack of hygiene evident throughout the entire Resort.

We stayed at Daydream Island for six nights. They were the worst six nights I have ever had on a holiday. This resort has a definite lack of customer service, the rooms are dirty. There were only a handful of staff who made our trip tolerable. If you book an ocean view room, your saving grace has been able to look out of the balcony window at the ocean. The other benefit was knowing that a boat was arriving dailyt to take you off the island. Shame on you Expedia for overselling Daydream Island you should be ashamed of yourselves.

While not as big as Hamilton Island, that has its benefit as being not too busy. Only need 3-4 nights to relax, try the restaurants and do the activities. Rooms are like a standard hotel room and not generous on space. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Credit to the resort for catering for gluten free people at breakfast. Living reef is awesome.

The best part of our stay was seeing all the amazing animals around the property roaming freely. We loved seeing wallabies, cockatoos, and other animals all around.
