Daydream Island Resort

The view was amazing.

The room was okay, the bath was dirty like super grubby the rooms are “serviced” but they mean change towels when needed the balcony was covered in dirt and bird poop on both tlchairs and table

Great stay at daydream. Loved the room with the kangaroos right outside enjoying life. Pool is lovely. Excellent staff at reception. Both Ana and Pearl are assets to this resort. Thanks for all your help.

Great 2 day getaway, staff friendly, room was clean and inviting, ocean view from the room was spectacular, food was a very high standard too. Island was kept tidy, walking tracks were well maintained. Only slight criticisms were the app was a little slow to use and the air conditioner was not able to be controlled from the room. Will definitely return and would recommend......

Friend staffs, great views and walkable around the island.

The room was clean but bathroom was old. Shower has two tabs cold and hot instead of one so you need to turn on both and turn off both!!!! Tab on the basin makes squeaking noise every time I turn the cold water on. They need some maintenance. The resort itself was fantastic, it was before peak season so not too crowded. Staff at the Kayak and Snorkeling were friendly and helpful enjoyed both activities. Breakfast was good overall but same menu for my entire 3 day stay… (bacon was fantastic! Thin and streaky). Restaurant was pricey but very delicious and big portions (Salty restaurant) so I was OK wth the price (wood fire pizza $32-36, highly recommended very nice pizza, generous toppings yum). Infinity restaurant was fusion Asian fine dining with ocean view, again, food was amazing delicious. Dessert was great, loved ginger and cinnamon cake, so good. This little island offers lots of free activities and family friendly, staff are friendly and responsive. They also offers free in room movies. All 2025 new ones wow, we watched one each night and they were just released in the cinema this year like Superman 2025. Best part it’s free! Highly recommend for a relaxing slow hassle free holiday. I brought some drinks and snacks, breakfast was included, it was not too pricey holiday at the end. They got a nice snorkeling spot with lots of tropical fishes and corals. Had a lovely time there. Gave 4 star only because the bathroom needs some maintenance.

If you are only staying for a couple of days the dining options work, but if you are staying a week then the options are very limited indeed. The coffee shop closes at 11am. I know you can get coffee at the various bars on the island but if the coffee shop was open till 4pm and serving some carrot cake or muffins would be very helpful. Closing at 11am I didnt understand at all. The area where breakfast is served then sits empty after 10am. Surely it could be set up as a 3rd dining option as a smorgasbord at a cheaper rate than the other 2 dining options.

Just an all around fantasy island

As a disabled person in a chair I found a lot of areas needed an upgrade as in levelling the terrains between surfaces - I actually had to struggle out of my chair several times to get over a hump/bump to keep moving- they’ve just put rails on the pool access when we were actually there on Day 2

Beautiful spot, the rooms were clean and beds were good. Everything is within easy walking distance. The restaurants have smaller menus but the meals are very nice especially at Infinity. Our 2 boys (10 and 12) did the Reef Ranger activities and they loved every bit of it, the staff were fantastic and let us tag a long with the boys well worth the price. Lovers Cove snorkelling and sunsets are amazing.

It was good

So clean and new, fresh vibe. Food was great. The staff are outstanding. Best pool in the Whitsundays. Only one bit of feedback - the beds are terrible, incredibly uncomfortable. I hope they are replaced by the next time we come back.

clean room / good housekeeping / great pools

The breakfast was lovely and replenished constantly. The pool is beautiful though we were there 4 days and didnt see it cleaned once while there, lots of leaves, grass etc from previous days not cleaned out. This is our 5th visit to daydream and each time we go there are things that have been removed or changed and not available anymore. There are not enough options for lunch and dinner, so we were pleased we werent there for a week this time as we were running out of things we wanted to eat. Staff were all lovely and our rooms clean but you could see where around the resort more attention to cleaning is needed and has been let go.

Will have more dinner restaurants for choosing?

Staff were great! So friendly and really went out of their way to assist my family and I during our trip.

Beautiful location but no atmosphere nothing to do in the evening! Food is terrible and extremely overpriced! 70% staff were rude, everything was to much if you asked for assistance! JetSki ride and staff amazing worth doing! Rooms were large but the toilet roll Holder was broken, no rail to get in and out of the shower (bath shower) house keeping didn’t clean our room daily like we asked and we had to go to reception for clean towels and toilet paper! With so many pools not one life guard! I wouldn’t recommend this resort as it’s lifeless and boring!

The food at the restaurants was poor and overpriced. Minimal options. The islands recycled water irrigation system for the gardens smelt putrid. Our rooms balcony was filthy and the sliding doors rails were black. We were required to request a room change due to the putrid smell of the irrigation water. The resort staff were kind enough to facilitate a room change for us. The resort is tired it needs maintenance. The pools were nice and there is a nice walk around the island and Lovers Cove snorkelling is great.
