Iron burn marks on carpet. Sticky carpet .clean sheets. Room maids were helpful.reception staff not so helpfull . Restraunt food was ok (pub grub) . Shops just round the corner . Over all you get what you pay for.

Always stay at the Tasman and the staff are lovely and you get little coupons for meals and drinks and overall it’s a great price for my stay. Would recommend having a microwave in the rooms but I think it’s to encourage guests to dine in and rooms could use some upgrade but for the price I pay it’s within the means 😁 overall happy with the place and will continue to stay there on my trips to Port Lincoln

Locality

I would say this hotel does the job, though it's very bare bones. I'm a very low maintenance traveler but the room smelled like rotten fish, the smell was coming from the bathroom. Other reviews stated the carpet is old which I wouldn't care about, but it's also disgusting and deeply stained. I bought slides to wear inside the room because I did not want my feet or socks to touch the floor. The bed was comfortable though the duvet had no duvet cover, just 2 sheets on each side and so the duvet kept slipping out. This wouldn't have been an issue except that the duvet insert was disgusting and stained brown, yellow, with red streaks. I was very cold at night because I didn't want the sheet to slip and have me touch that duvet so I didn't use it. It is a very convenient location and the staff are friendly and helpful. I didn't use the restaurant so I can't speak to that. There is a noise policy stating no noise on balconies after 10pm, yet the bar/night club downstairs plays loud music well into the night (after midnight most nights I stayed and on my last night which was a Friday night the music was still going at 4am). It was very difficult to sleep. Overall I think with some fairly easy updates this hotel can be much improved, and it was affordable and again the staff and location were lovely, but just the hygiene made me queasy.

The bear that came to the room and the number of grocery stores well within walking distance and a bar area downstairs we’re just excellent. Great front desk, people.

Amazing old building lovingly cared for, with wonderful staff and an amazing bar and bistro that punches well above its weight. I wish I could have stayed longer

Very helpful gentleman who checked me in at 9.30 pm I am 71 years old and he offered to carry my luggage upstairs for me which I know isn't part of the service . He was very kind to do that for me. Please thank him again. Many thanks...

Clean room and good meal in bistro.

Great location opposite beach. Room clean and comfortable and food downstairs in the dining room good pub Tucker. We were given a food discount voucher and a complimentary drink voucher which wasn’t expected.

I really needs an upgrade. The toilet bowl had brown stains from water, importantly, not feaces. The bedroom was very dated and the carpet throughout needs replacing.

Overall a nice stay

Had a very comfortable stay, affordably priced, friendly staff.
