Check-in and check-out was very simple process. Front desk and all staff were very kind and helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy, all facilities listed were adequately fulfilled. Great location close to many eateries and short drive to CBD and shops. Thanks for making our holidays memorable, kudos to Hotel Tropiq staff!!

When we checked in the staff were great and very helpful. However when we got to our rooms the bathroom was nothing like the only photo when we booked. I think that could have been overseen if it were not for the smell of the room in total. So bad we actually checked out after we checked in almost immediately. Made our excuses and left. Disappointed.

Our stay was the worse we ever experienced. Firstly the neighborhood was sketchy and as 2 women we felt very unsafe. The room was full of bugs, insects, dirt and mold. It was a terrible smell of smoke even though it said “no smoking”. You couldn’t lock the door properly which made us feel even more unsafe. We got to change room but there the shower was broken and unusable and the WiFi didn’t work there. We asked for a refund because we didn’t want the stress on our vacation to change room every night. We didn’t get a refund or compensation even if we were told so. Very disappointed, do not recommend to anyone.

This is a 3 star resort. Don’t book here thinking it will be something else. I booked a queen room but was put in a ‘family room’. That is a queen with 2 singles in the one room. Clean sheets. Lots of towels. Small bar fridge. TV only has free to air channels. Walls are thin. Hear movement above, next door and around the room. Pool is ok. Not cleaned on bottom but water was clean. Had a swim. No worries. Located on north side of city. City centre is about 1.2 km away. It’s not a bad walk and if you walk across to the boardwalk and down it is quite scenic. Good coffee at the goose and the quack nearby.

The young lady at the front desk was wonderful. She was very helpful and kind. The hotel has a nice pool and garden area. The rooms look tired and the bathroom shower head kept falling. The little window in the bathroom was visible to people going up the stairs. The little screen on the side of the window had No way of covering it for privacy. There are no outlets next to the beds and no phones in the rooms, so if you have an emergency, you have to use your own phone. Some of the people who stay there are sketchy and a bit scary looking. The hotel looks like it needs an overhaul and seems like it was once , a nice place to stay. I would NOT stay here again!!!
